The Traitors contestants have jumped to the defence of Mollie Pearce after cruel trolls branded her ‘stupid’ for not managing to rumble winner Harry Clark.
Stars from both UK series have taken to social media to stand up for faithful Mollie – who finished in second place – after choosing to believe Harry was also faithful.
Viewers watched as Harry dashed Mollie’s hopes of winning when he revealed he was a traitor, taking home the £95,150 cash prize.
Mollie, 21, was left visibly devastated after defending Harry when their co-star Jaz Singh called for a final vote and could be heard saying ‘f***’ before storming out.
As Harry was the last traitor standing, he took home the total prize fund, leaving Mollie with nothing – with viewers branding her ‘naive’.

Following the backlash, Mollie revealed she has quit social media as she tries to process the comments as she predicted the reaction would be ‘rough’.
She told The Mirror: ‘I’m obviously new to all of that so I’m trying to process it and get my head around it and I’m kind of trying to stay off socials a little bit because I think today is going to be a bit rough,’
Mollie said she hopes the furore will eventually pass before going on: ‘I think it’s very easy for the public to say that I was stupid and stuff like that but at the end of the day I’m 21 and I’ve got emotions – what could I do?’.
Adding: ‘I think people forget that you’re human when they’re watching it on TV, but we do all have feelings so people should be more cautious with their comments.’
Past players have now stood by her, as they praised the model’s performance and hailed her for making it to the final without a single vote against her.
Paul Gorton shared a picture of Mollie at the final roundtable, and wrote: ‘Big shout out to this one. Incredible achievement getting to the final and almost won the show.
‘Mollie is amazing, brought a lovely energy into every room she walked into and proved to the country that she is absolutely pure of heart. Let’s send all the support her way.’
He added: ‘The intensity and stress of that room must have been almost unbearable,’ Paul added. ‘He went with her best and most trusted friend. It’s a game and she didn’t win, same as the 21 other contestants!’

Series two star Jasmine Boatswain, also added: ‘This girl didn’t receive a SINGLE vote. No one uttered her name ONCE,’ she wrote. ‘Isn’t that the job of a faithful? To gain complete trust in everyone around her?
‘Clearly one of the best faithfuls and I’ll hear nothing else!’
Ivan Brett, who appeared on series one of the game show, said: ‘The more I think about it, and as I listen to her on R2, I feel like Mollie was the real star of this series. I hope she can look back on this with pride: she was amazing.’
It comes shortly after Harry revealed how Mollie reacted when they reunited after he took home the jackpot during Friday’s final.
After celebrating his win with a glass of champagne with the host Claudia Winkleman, Harry revealed his next thought was making things right with Mollie.
Harry told Claudia that he wanted to speak to Mollie as soon as possible and was feeling guilty about taking away her chances at a share of the jackpot.
He told the Sunday Times: ‘Production came and grabbed me and was like, “Mollie wants to talk to you.” I was like, “Oh God, she’s going to right-hook me as soon as I walk in there.”

Harry, 23, who was the only Traitor left in the game and took home the £95,150 prize, stole Mollie’s chances of taking home any money as the only remaining Faithful
‘The first thing she did was give me a massive hug and was like, “I love but hate you at the same time.” She appreciated the way I played the game. And told me I deserved it. Credit to her – she didn’t have to do that to me at all.’
Following the nail-biting final, some viewers have suggested that Mollie may have had romantic feelings for Harry, which may have blinded her when it came to working out whether he was a Traitor.
However, Harry rubbished any speculation that they are anything more than friends, revealing that Mollie is mad about her boyfriend [Max Backwell] and they spoke continually about their respective partners.
Harry dates children’s TV presenter and social media influencer Anna Maynard.
He said: ‘When we were getting to know each other, I knew more about her boyfriend than I did about her. And it’s probably the same with me and my other half. All we would talk about together would be double dates…
‘When we became friends, that’s why we built such a close connection. We had the same interests. When I see this whole thing that she fancied me, it’s like, no chance. She loves her fella more than anything. He’s an amazing guy. I’m just really good friends with her. Why can’t two young people be close friends anyway?’
After convincing his friend Mollie, 21, that they were both Faithfuls, she chose to send Jaz Singh home leaving only two of them in the final
