Australian model Madeline Cowe has announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend Anthony Williams.

The pageant queen, 33, shared heartwarming photos to social media on Monday night which captured the sweet moment her partner proposed to her.

One picture captured the newly engaged couple beaming at the camera at a scenic beachside location, as Madeline flaunted her sparkling diamond ring.

Another black-and-white shot showed the pair beaming on the sandy shoreline with their dog by their side, the moment brimming with easy affection as they soaked up the coastal setting.

The couple looked completely at ease together, sharing relaxed smiles as the waves rolled in behind them.

Madeline also gave fans a closer look at her dazzling engagement ring - a striking rectangular-cut diamond set on a classic gold band, catching the light as she held her hand up.

The understated yet elegant design stood out in the sunlit beach scenes, drawing attention to the newly confirmed commitment.

She captioned the post with some heartfelt words: 'The easiest yes. 15.05.26'.

Many of Madeline's followers took to the comment section to offer their well wishes.

'Yay! Congrats cuties!' one person wrote and a second added: 'Such wonderful news'.

The proposal marks a joyful new chapter for the Cairns-born beauty, who continues to shine both on and off the runway, and frequently stuns her 90,000 Instagram followers with her modelling shots.

The model began her career in the 2010s, and was the first runner-up at the Miss Universe Australia competition in 2015.

In July 2016, Madeline was left red-faced moments after being crowned Miss World Australia after her sparkling crown tumbled off of her head.

The brunette beauty appeared shocked as she was named the national final winner at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne and Miss World Australia 2015 Tess Alexander placed the crown on her head.
