Miranda Lambert is mourning the loss of her two beloved pets.
The 40-year-old country music superstar — who avoided a run-in with ex Blake Shelton at the ACM Awards — took to her Instagram on Friday to reveal that two of her rescue dogs, Delta Dawn and Louise, recently passed away.
‘In the last 6 weeks two of the best and most loyal friends I have ever had have left this earth,’ the singer wrote alongside a carousal of adorable snaps of her four-legged pals.
The Mama’s Broken Heart hitmaker continued: ‘I’m so heartbroken to have lost them, to love this big you have to hurt just as big, they are worth it.’
The photos featured Miranda and her husband Brendan McLoughlin hugging and playing with their Chihuahua/Pug mix, Delta, alongside their Great Pyrenees, Louise.

The Grammy winner shared that she first discovered Delta Dawn abandoned at a Sonic in Oklahoma during the spring of 2009 and had her for about 16 years before the beloved dog passed away on April 22.
She said that when she met Delta Dawn, the pup ‘was homeless and hungry but still full of personality.’
She continued: ‘Little did I know when I was trying to just get a cherry limeade, I would meet one of the most amazing dogs I would ever know.
‘She was on almost every tour I’ve ever been on [and] I’m honored to have met her and learned so much from her.’
In her second Instagram post, Miranda announced that they bid farewell to Louise, her ‘fluffiest and most protective gal pal’, on June 7, after eight cherished years together.
She then reminisced about rescuing Louise and her sister Thelma in 2016.
‘The first day I ever brought them to the farm in TN, they were right at home’ she wrote. ‘I have mini horses, chickens and goats and I needed them for protection for the critters. And boy did they do the job.’
Miranda also plead with her fans to consider adopting rescue pets.

‘I want yall to know that I’m an advocate for rescue because I live it out and everyday I am blessed with the joy of having these animals in my life,’ she began. ‘And then some days, like today, I’m so heartbroken to have lost them.’
‘Shelters all over the country are suffering from overcrowdedness so this is my heart song to you, she continued.
‘Consider a rescue or fostering or volunteering. You never know what blessing is waiting there for you.’
Meanwhile, Miranda and Brendan are going strong after five years of marriage.
The couple met in 2018 while Miranda was performing on the Today Show and married three months later in early 2019.
At the time it was a messy situation as McLoughlin’s ex Kaihla Rettinger had their son Landon just a few days after he met the Drunk singer.

He was also engaged to soccer player Jackie Bruno when Kaihla got pregnant.
The country singer attributes the longevity of their love to strong communication skills.
‘We just talk it out,’ Miranda told People. ‘Whatever it is, we talk about everything.
‘And I think communication is super important, especially because women, we expect men to know what we’re thinking and they don’t. We got to tell them.’
