Mingus Reedus Holds Hands with Mystery Woman After Assault Charges

Helena Christensen’s son Mingus Redus was spotted out with a mystery woman after he was arrested for alleged domestic violence.

The 25-year-old son of Christensen and The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus was spotted holding hands with on what appeared to be a romantic stroll through West Village in New York City.

He appeared to be in high spirits as he and his date shared giggles during their walk after grabbing a mid-day pick-me-up at a coffee shop.

The pair coordinated in black outfits as the model paired a T-shirt with nylon pants and boots; meanwhile, the lady by his side wore a black, lace crop top and a denim miniskirt. 

The sighting comes less than one month after he was arrested and charged with assault and harassment.

The nepo baby was taken into custody on August 23, and he reportedly made a disturbing threat when he emerged the day after his arrest. 

He was charged with one count of assault and another of criminal obstruction of breathing. 

He allegedly punched ‘a female victim in the leg, causing redness, and then choked her and slammed her to the ground.’ 

According to People, the model was also charged with recklessly causing physical injury, aggravated harassment and harassment, per court records. 

He has plead not guilty to all charges. 

Last month, he reportedly made a troubling threat as he emerged the day after his arrest for assault. 

The New York Post reports that Mingus, 25, uttered to them as he stepped out in New York: ‘You want to watch me kill myself?’ 

The disturbing words come just a day after the son of Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 33-year-old woman. 

The nepo baby reportedly struck a woman in the leg, choked her, and slammed her into the ground, according to the New York Post.

TMZ has since reported that woman is seeking a court-ordered protection against Mingus.

The outlet reviewed a complaint that states the anonymous woman detailed to police that Mingus used ‘both of his hands to apply pressure to her neck by forcefully squeezing it.’

According to prosecutors he also hit her right leg using a closed fist before throwing her to the ground with both hands, resulting in bruising, redness and ‘substantial’ pain.

Per police, it was Mingus who made a 911 call around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday to report a woman in an apartment on West 16th Street who was allegedly taking pills and threatening to kill herself.

When officers arrived on the scene, the woman accused Mingus of assaulting her. 

Police arrested him and the woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was determined to be in stable condition.

Photos obtained by the Post showed the model being led out of the building by police and placed into a cruiser.

Hours later, he left the 10th precinct with a grin on his face before officers escorted him into a waiting police vehicle.

As he briefly stepped out in public, a reporter asked why Mingus called the police, to which he replied, ‘I didn’t.’

And when asked by the reporter to ‘tell us what really happened,’ he reportedly smiled and laughed before responding, ‘No.’

Per the Post’s account, Mingus said the altercation was ‘a misunderstanding’ before police shut him inside the car.

A woman who claimed to be his girlfriend also described the incident as a ‘misunderstanding.’ 

It’s unclear if the woman claiming to be Mingus’ girlfriend was also the woman he allegedly assaulted.

In total, Mingus has been hit with five charges. 

He has been charged with third-degree assault with the intent to cause physical injury, criminal obstruction of breathing, harassment in the second degree, a reckless third-degree assault, and aggravated harassment in the second degree, according to Entertainment Weekly. Mingus pleaded not guilty.
