Millie Bobby Brown’s Tearful ‘Stranger Things’ Scenes with David Harbour Resurface After Harassment Claims

David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown have plenty of emotional scenes in the first portion of Stranger Things season five.

It comes after claims that the 21-year-old actress filed ‘pages and pages of accusations’ against her co-star, 50, before filming began on the sci-fi series’ final season.

On screen as Jim (Harbour) and Eleven (Brown), they embark on a mission to find Vecna after Holly Wheeler (Nell Fisher) is taken by a demogorgon.

Jim panics over Eleven’s safety as the military is hunting her, and he reflects on losing his daughter, sharing in episode one, ‘My daughter, Sara, she was brave, [the] bravest person I ever knew.

‘She stared death in the face. She never got scared, she never wavered. Fought her heart out. The doctors said they never saw anything like it. They thought she was gonna make it, too.’

The tender moments come after a source said Brown had a representative with her on set throughout filming the season.

Jim weeps over the memory of Sara as Eleven comes to understand why he’s so protective of her.

‘So that’s why you don’t want me in here? Because you think Vecna will win and I will die?’ she asked her adoptive father.

He answers, ‘Just been around long enough to know that you can’t count on anything in this life. I don’t want to lose you. I won’t.’

Episode four sees the pair hijack the government building and before they go separate ways, Jim directs Eleven to safety and declares, ‘I’m not gonna risk losing you.

‘From here on out, I want you to know how proud I am of you. I am so proud of you. I am so proud of what you’ve overcome. I’m proud of who you are.’

Despite the previously reported harassment accusations, the actors put on a professional front at the Stranger Things season five premiere in LA earlier this month.

They laughed and smiled for photos together, and Brown addressed their relationship in a Hollywood Reporter interview.

‘We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything,’ she told the outlet.

She said, ‘We’ve been doing that for the last ten years,’ when asked why it was important she make a public show of unity with Harbour after news of the filing emerged. ‘I mean, we have always been united in that.’

The complaints did not include any allegations of sexual impropriety and the outcome of the investigation is unknown.

Harbour has been a core member of the Stranger Things cast since it first aired in 2016.

He’s one of the series’ most beloved personalities, loved for his complex character arc.

The final season reunites the characters after they spent much of the penultimate series apart, and Brown reflected that it was ‘really exciting’ to bring their onscreen personas back together.

‘It was quite nostalgic because it reminded me so much of season two and three, where we’re both kind of butting heads and she’s growing up, she’s trying to find her own voice and he’s trying to parent, and that dynamic definitely comes back into play once again, and I’m really excited for people to see that,’ the actress said.

‘And I think some of people’s favorite scenes of Eleven are Ele and [Jim], so I’m really excited to have that come to screen once again.’

Netflix declined to comment on Brown’s filing, as did representatives for the actress, while representatives for Harbour and Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers didn’t respond.
