And How The Grinch Stole Christmas looks like a firm favourite of Sir Mick Jagger – as he appeared to read the Dr Seuss tale to his dog on Christmas Day. The 80-year-old, who flew to Barbados last week, posted a photograph on social media of himself with the book, his pet and presents.

The Rolling Stones singer appeared to be enjoying the Caribbean climate, wearing a short-sleeved Hawaiian-style shirt, with a pair of novelty Christmas glasses hooked on to it.

He posted the photo on Twitter/X, writing: ‘Happy holidays, everyone!’ Sir Mick is thought to be enjoying the festive period there with his partner, choreographer Melanie Hamrick, and their son Deveraux, who turned seven earlier this month.

The singer has been spending December in the Caribbean for decades and owns a mansion on Mustique, called the Stargroves Estate, which he rents out for £21,500 a week when he’s not there.
