Michelle Pfeiffer revealed that she received a black eye during a game of pickleball in a post that was shared on her Instagram account on Friday.

The 65-year-old actress was seen while holding a bag of ice cubes on her right eye while sitting on the sidelines of what appeared to be a court in her first snap.

The performer – who recently celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary – appeared to have been unbothered by the scuff-up, however, as she flashed a smile while showing off her bruised visage in her second photo.

Pfeiffer then closed her right eye in order to give her 3.1 million followers a better look at her fresh injury.

The Scarface actress also wrote a lighthearted ‘warning’ to her fans regarding the dangers of pickleball, which partially read: ‘Stay out of the Kitchen!!’

The performer showed off her non-bruised face in a promotional shot for her fragrance company, Henry Rose, that was shared earlier this week.

In the photo, Pfeiffer flashed a smile while posing in front of several of her brand’s travel sprays.

The actress also wrote a short message in her post’s caption to name her favorite combination of scents from her brand.

Henry Rose was originally launched in 2019, and it has since become the first fragrance line to have been certified by the Environmental Working Group.

The brand is primarily marketed online, although several pop-up stores featuring the company’s wares have been set up over the past few years.

Pfeiffer, who also serves as the line’s creative director, occasionally appears in its promotional materials.

The actress spoke about her brand during an interview with Forbes and discussed her commitment to creating environmentally-friendly products.

‘When I first set out to create a safer, transparent fragrance, I knew I wanted it to meet the standards of the EWG – they are a de facto watchdog, given the lack of government regulation on ingredients and labeling,’ she recalled.

Pfeiffer then opened up about why becoming EWG-verified was so important to her company.

‘It’s not that all fragrance is bad or dangerous, it’s that we simply don’t know what’s in fragrances because companies aren’t required to disclose the ingredients,’ she said.

The performer went on to speak about which her preferred scents, and remarked that she was fond of  ‘anything with vanilla.’

She added: ‘The note of vanilla is actually known to be very comforting and makes people feel younger. Torn from Henry Rose, after it’s dried down, has this very rich, woody vanilla scent, which I love.’
