Michele Morrone is the latest addition to the big screen adaptation of the highly anticipated thriller The Housemaid.
The Italian hunk, 34, who has denied any rumors of a romantic relationship with Subservient co-star Megan Fox after a clip from their time on set went viral, will be honing some of his previous skills for his role as the groundskeeper.
‘When it was mentioned that the character of Enzo was actually an Italian landscaper, I thought, “Well, that couldn’t be any closer to my journey.” Because before I started working as an actor, I actually was a landscaper in Italy, which I loved,’ he told People.
The Housemaid stars Sydney Sweeney as the title character.
Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar are the wealthy couple they work for, and their lives are far different than the one presented behind the perfectly groomed grounds and spotless home.
The movie is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Freida McFadden.

‘I am really excited to take this journey with Enzo because I think he will have some very interesting and secretive plot lines layered into the movie,’ the star explained.
Director Paul Feig, with whom Morrone worked on A Simple Favor 2, will be helming this project as well.
‘I can’t wait to be back on set with Paul Feig again and to be all together making the books come to life!’ he exclaimed.
The 365 Days star and Sweeney, 27, met during a Zoom call while both were working on other projects. ‘We had such a great conversation about the movie, the characters and about life,’ he explained, adding, ‘She is a lot of fun.’
‘I haven’t met Amanda, but I am looking forward to meeting her,’ Morrone said.
Morrone was a fan favorite for the part of the groundskeeper. A video of the actor reading the book was uploaded to the film’s Instagram page. He looked into the camera saying, ‘Yes. I play Enzo.’
Fans were quick to voice their elated approval. ‘OMG YESSSS’ wrote one, adding, ‘this cast is amazing!!!’
‘OmG, what a sensational news – you are unstoppable on your way to the top. It’s perfect- congratulations to you, Miki,’ wrote an enthusiastic follower.
The studio broke the good news with a video of the actor reading the book on Instagram. As he looked into the camera he told fans what they wanted to hear. ‘Yes. I play Enzo,’ he said

Sweeney, Seyfried and Feig will all serve as producers on the project. Filming is expected to begin sometime in 2025.
If The Housemaid is as successful in theaters as studio executives anticipate, this could be the beginning of a very prosperous franchise.
McFadden has written the sequels The Housemaid’s Secret and The Housemaid is Watching along with the companion short story The Housemaid’s Wedding.
Meanwhile, a video of Megan Fox having a flirty interaction with co-star Morrone resurfaced as it has been revealed that she has split from Machine Gun Kelly just weeks after announcing that they are expecting their first child together.
Last week Morrone brokn his silence regarding speculation that he was the one to blame for the high-profile split.
Tongues have been wagging since he first posted the Instagram video with the 38-year-old actress on his Instagram Story over a year ago while they were on set of the steamy film Subservience.
In the clip the attractive duo have a playful back-and-forth about having to conversate while recording a video and even arguing about the pronunciation of Spongebob from Spongebob Squarepants.
The two share some heavy eye contact a giggles as Megan placed her forearm on his shoulder and the clip ends with the Transformers actress laughing while burying her head in his shoulder.
At the time Michele – who was previously romantically-linked to Khloe Kardashian – captioned the video: ‘@meganfox An incredible beautiful soul.’

As the clip was making the rounds on social media amid Megan’s latest break-up with 34-year-old pop punk rapper MGK, the Italian actor, model, and singer wanted to make clear that they had no romantic involvement.
A rep for Michele quickly shut down the speculation as they told TMZ on Tuesday: ‘Any accusations beyond a work friendship are simply untrue.
‘They filmed a movie together a year ago. Michele is currently in Italy filming another project.’
Earlier in the day it was revealed that Megan and MGK, real name Colson Baker, ended their near five year romance over Thanksgiving weekend while together in Vail, Colorado, per TMZ.
The Transformers star is around six months pregnant and is set to welcome their child in March.
The pair are said to have split less than two weeks after the pregnancy reveal after Fox ‘found material on MGK’s phone that was upsetting, and it made her want him to leave the trip early.’
The musician then left the trip early and the exes have not seen each other since.
