Michael Fabricant and his fellow politician Nigel Farage have a fair amount in common.
They have both been Members of Parliament representing right-leaning parties, they both supported Brexit and they have both cultivated a flamboyant and eccentric media profile.
And it turns out they both have a penchant for getting their kit off in front of millions of TV viewers.
On Tuesday evening, former Conservative MP Michael, 74, flashed his bare bottom to mortified viewers just two episodes into this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.
Making himself comfortable while washing the outdoor hot tub, the politician left little to the imagination in a scene which shocked viewers.
Michael sported a teal jacket and white trainers, as well as a pair of pink swimming trunks which were worn so low as to almost be round his knees.

It turns out he and his fellow politician Nigel Farage have a fair amount in common, with Michael’s display channelling that of the Reform UK leader on I’m A Celeb in 2023
Showing off his cleaning skills to former Love Island contestant Chris Hughes, 32, and actress Donna Preston, 38, the ex-MP said: ‘So I’m going to do the washing up.
‘I’m going to be the battery boy attendant but I’m also going to be the sexy pool boy.
‘It’s 38.5 Centigrade which is great, we can get the pumps going which is fantastic. You’ve got lights, if we go in at night we can make green, purple, blue, yellow, red…’
Chris and Donna, perhaps standing slightly out of the line of fire, found the whole thing hilarious but the live audience on Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live that evening gasped and groaned in anguish when shown the zoomed-in clip.
There were echoes of fellow politician-turned-reality star Nigel in Michael’s almost nude display, after the Reform UK leader flashed his own behind on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here in 2023.
Just hours after arriving in the jungle, Nigel further cemented his status as one of the most controversial figures in that year’s camp as he stripped totally naked in the famous shower.
The politician wasted no time in whipping his clothes off to have a wash, leaving his entire bottom on show.
Walking through the camp, This Morning host Josie Gibson was stopped in her tracks as she set eyes on his cheeks, with the former Big Brother winner saying in the Bush Telegraph that she’s ‘seen worse’.

While the duo have both represented right-leaning parties and voiced similar opinions on a number of issues, including EU membership, their political lives have been polar opposites
After 25 years in politics – much of it spent as one of the country’s most controversial characters – Nigel, 61, finally became an MP last July, on the same day Michael lost his own seat after 32 years.
While the duo have both represented right-leaning parties and voiced similar opinions on a number of issues, including EU membership, their political lives have been polar opposites.
Michael was something of an establishment figure for more than three decades, serving as a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury between 2010 and 2012 and receiving a knighthood in 2023.
On the other hand, Nigel has been the UK’s most well-known political hell-raiser since he became UKIP leader in 2006, frequently criticising government policy and successfully campaigning against Britain’s EU membership.
Michael has been outpoken in the past himself, however, and even advocated for a political pact between Nigel’s UKIP and his own Tory party in 2012.
In 2014, he was sacked as vice-chairman of the Conservatives for tweeting, ‘about time’, when Maria Miller resigned as cabinet minister.
Two years later, in the heated build-up to the EU referendum, Michael shouted ‘b*****ks’ in response to an argument made about the potential financial impact of Brexit.
And in 2022, he compared Boris Johnson’s breaching of Covid rules to teachers and nurses heading to the ‘staff room’ for a ‘quiet drink’ after a ‘very long shift’, in remarks that received widespread criticism.

And it seems Michael is doing the same on CBB, with fans praising his relationship with Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard, including the conversation the pair had about the politician’s polyamorous lifestyle.
The former MP, who is bisexual, revealed that he has a partner of 35 years as well as several ‘deep friendships’.
Michael hinted at his relationship with former Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street, who he met at an Oxford University reunion, being open as he revealed he has several ‘deep friendships’ with people he goes on solo holidays with.
‘I’ve never been in the closet,’ Michael said, before Jojo Siwa asked if he was in a relationship and he replied: ‘It’s complicated. I have someone who I have known for 35 years who’s 13 years younger than me.
‘But I also have, and this is even more complicated, two friends and we all go on holiday separately with me or not.’
Danny asked: ‘Would you call that an open relationship? Because I actually think a lot of gay people like that and a lot of straight people don’t understand it.’
Michael appeared to agree with Danny as he nodded his head, before later adding: I would maybe say I’ve got very deep friendships. That would maybe be more tactful.’

It came after Michael was faced with the ‘loudest arrival boos ever’ as he entered the iconic house during Monday’s live episode
The politician previously spoke about his and Andy’s relationship as he revealed they are ‘very close’ but lead ‘separate lives’.
In 2021, he told GB News that he and Andy are ‘life partners’.
Michael was faced with the ‘loudest arrival boos ever’ as he entered the iconic house during Monday’s live episode.
As he joined hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best on the colourful bridge, the rowdy crowd beneath them did not seem impressed by his appearance.
He was particularly booed during the moments he mentioned his blonde locks and when he gave a shout out to his fellow Conservatives on live TV.
