Michael B. Jordan celebrated his Oscar Award in the best way possible as he headed to In-N-Out Burger after the ceremony in Los Angeles, , on Sunday evening.

The American actor, 39, who won the Best Actor gong for his role in the hit 2025 horror Sinners, proudly posed with his award as fans cheered in the background. 

The actor couldn't contain his smile as he stopped for a moment to get pictures at the iconic American takeaway venue. 

Earlier in the evening, Jordan won the Best Actor Oscar for playing twins confronted with pure evil in the vampire race fable Sinners - tortured fighters typical of the roles director Ryan Coogler has repeatedly created for him.

The actor made good on the momentum he gained by winning the SAG Actor Award two weeks ago to bring home an Academy Award in his first try.

He bested 'Marty Supreme star Chalamet, who had been the frontrunner for most of Hollywood's awards season, along with Leonardo of One Battle After Another, Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent, and for Blue Moon.

At age 39, Jordan joins a small circle of Black actors who have won the prestigious Best Actor Oscar, after Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker and Will Smith.

'I stand here because of the people who came before me,' an emotional Jordan told the audience on Sunday evening.

Sinners, a supernatural tale of racial segregation in 1930s Mississippi, was a box office success in large part due to Jordan's compelling performances as Smoke and Stack, World War I veterans who return home after working in organised crime in Chicago.

The brothers want to open an off-the-books juke joint, smack in the middle of the Prohibition era.

Of course, they want to make some money, but they also want to help the locals drown their sorrows in alcohol and the blues.

Things quickly go sour when white vampires come calling, looking to quench their thirst for blood and music.

Elsewhere during the awards ceremony, Jessie Buckley, 36, took home Best Actress for her work in Hamnet at the event held at the Dolby Theatre in .

The 36-year-old Irish actress beat out Rose Byrne - If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Kate Hudson - Song Sung Blue, Renate Reinsve - Sentimental Value, and Emma Stone - Bugonia.

Hamnet takes place after Agnes and William Shakespeare (Buckley and Paul Mescal) lose their son Hamnet to the plague and grapple with grief in 16th-century England, based on the novel of the same name. 

Agnes is a healer who must find strength to care for her surviving children while processing her devastating loss.

Paul Thomas Anderson accepted the top prize of the night alongside Teyana Taylor and the rest of the cast and crew as One Battle After Another earned the most wins of the night with six. 

The American black comedy action-thriller film triumphed over a massive competitive field including: Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, Sinners, and Train Dreams.

The Leonardo DiCaprio-led film One Battle After Another is centred around a group of ex-revolutionaries who reunite to rescue the daughter of one of their own as their enemy resurfaces after 16 years. 

One Battle After Another was the biggest winner of the evening as Paul earned both Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. 

Meanwhile,  was not in attendance as he earned his third Oscar.

The 65-year-old A-lister's name was announced by  for the Best Supporting Actor Award for his work in One Battle After Another, but he was not in the building to accept.
