Melissa Suffield proudly embraced her curves as she shared an empowering message about body confidence on her Instagram on Thursday.
The former EastEnders star, 31, who played Lucy Beale on the soap, stripped down to her pink lingerie as she tried on a range of leggings from In The Style.
Melissa opened the video with a wave and asaid: ‘Hi, I’m The Confident Mama and this is my belly.
‘Now, it’s not just loose skin, there’s some fat in there, too, so it needs supporting. So, I’m gonna show you the In The Style fITS (sic) contour leggings in all their three colours.’
Melissa jiggled her belly and held up three pairs of leggings to the camera in the colours green, blue, and black.

‘Now my belly isn’t just loose skin, it can’t be tucked in or hidden away, and I don’t do shape wear. But the overhang and the fat adds weight, so the area still needs
‘Let this be the year that you accept your body and love the shape of it, the way it moves and curves, and work to support it rather than hide it or contort it into sizes and materials that aren’t comfortable.

Melissa played Ian Beale’s daughter Lucy in EastEnders for six years, but was axed from the BBC soap in 2010.
She was replaced by Hetti Bywater in 2012, and the character was killed off in 2015.
Melissa gave birth to her son River in March 2020 and has since devoted her Instagram page to encouraging women to celebrate their bodies and help them feel confident.
Melissa has over 80,000 followers on Instagram and regularly shares outfits ‘that make you feel good’.
She is married to cruise director Robert Brendan.
