Melbourne radio host Sammy J has taken a X-rated swipe at KIIS FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson after they lost out in the Melbourne market in the recent survey.
The radio duo placed fifth in this month’s survey, while Sammy J had a boost in the ratings for his ABC breakfast show.
The popular comedian could not resist boasting his victory with a post that mocked the Kyle and Jackie O Show’s love of lewd content.
‘All these months asking my ABC listeners whether they’ve done a**l has really paid off,’ Sammy said in an Instagram story he shared on Monday.
The naughty joke at the expense of his rivals appears to be a direct reference to a remark made by Sandilands when his radio show made its debut on Melbourne airwaves in April.
During the show Henderson, 49, introduced herself as ‘STI-free’ before Kyle began pressing her for her opinions on a**l sex.
The 52-year-old, meanwhile, introduced himself as an ‘ex F-boy, coke-sniffing a**hole.’
Meanwhile, Sammy J, real name Samuel Jonathan McMillan, had a boost in listeners for his ABC Melbourne breakfast show. He scored an audience share of 8.2 per cent in the August ratings, jumping from 7.3 in the last survey.

It comes after the Kyle and Jackie O Show appears to be struggling to break into the Melbourne radio market.
This week, the latest ratings figures reveal that arch rivals Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins and Lauren Phillips soundly beat the Sydney based shock jocks.
It was an especially sweet victory since the duo’s Melbourne breakfast show was axed last year to make way for Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s big expansion into the city from Sydney.

Amid the competition, the Jase and Lauren Show, which now airs on rival network Nova FM, has been crowned Melbourne’s most listened to breakfast program.
The comedic chat show has taken home the coveted number one spot in the newly-released 5th radio ratings survey results for 2024 from GFK.
Jase and Lauren’s popular program gained 0.3 points and rose to 9.9 per cent in audience share, giving it a clear lead over rivals The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Kyle and Jackie O trailed significantly at a 6.1 per cent share, after its premiere in Melbourne on April 29, and was the city’s fifth most listened to breakfast show.
However, Melbourne newcomers Kyle and Jackie O still marked a slight rise in the city’s ratings, from 5.9 to 6.1 per cent.
Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev and Nick was the runner-up with a 9.6 per cent audience share while Gold FM’s Christian O’Connell was in third place.
Despite being beaten in the Melbourne ratings, The Kyle and Jackie O Show once again helped KIIS FM claim the top spot as the city’s most listened to radio station.
The popular breakfast show attracted a weekly cumulative audience of 750,000 listeners across Sydney – up by over 50,000 people from the prior survey.

Elsewhere in the ratings, Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little marked a huge success as they were ranked as the number one national drive show in Australia.
The Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy nabbed an 11.1 per cent share in Australia, securing the top spot for the fourth time in a row in an impressive feat.
The pair said of the results: ‘We are so lucky to have such a hard-working team and incredible listeners who continue to drive us to unbelievable results.
‘Thank you, Australia, for making us #1 for the fourth time in a row. We’re having an absolute blast every afternoon, and we love sharing in the fun with listeners around the country.’
