Mel B’s Ex-Jimmy Gulzar Reveals What Upset Him About David Beckham in Latest Attack

Mel B’s ex Jimmy Gulzar has bizarrely claimed David Beckham copied his fashion sense, love of cooking and tattoos in scathing social media posts.

Dutch dancer Jimmy who was married to Scary Spice from 1998 until 2000, had demanded the former footballer ‘tell the truth’ on social media the day before and accused him of having memory loss, leaving fans wondering what he was on about.

In a series of lengthy Instagram posts on Wednesday, Jimmy claimed David’s memorable sarong outfit he wore during the 1998 World Cup in France as well as his love of cooking and even some of his tattoos were actually inspired by him.

First, Jimmy insisted he had worn a sarong very similar to the one David wore during an evening out with his wife Victoria.     

He wrote: ‘The tour was in full glory and we were having the best time. All of us. On the road we did some shopping, sometimes a bit to much by all the top brands at that time. Gucci , Prada ,D&G and more. All the dancers had their own flow and style.

‘And we could admire each others new clothes and styles. The girls were also shopping with us in certain cities. 

‘So as you can imagine we were all looking good ! So when we were in Paris, Sean Paul Gaultier was just the shop to visit. 

‘It was hot that summer so I was wearing some floaty stuff . Sandals and a sarong around the waist. I believe it was also the World Cup that summer. If I can remember well, David was kicked out of the game and came to Paris to see Vicky. 

‘Vicky and Mel had things to do so I heard from Mel that David was up for doing something the next day.

‘Vicky wanted David to get her some stuff and David wanted to go shopping . And if I wanted to join David. So I did. It was fun, for the first time really me and him talked and laughed. We got Vicky’s stuff and went to the Gaultier shop. 

‘David wanted to have the same sarong I was wearing so we got it. You all can prob remember the pic where David went back to the football camp wearing the sarong and sandals.’

Next, Jimmy claimed David was rude to an Italian tattoo artist named Claudio who tattooed him and Mel on their wedding. 

The dancer wrote that David wanted a tattoo from Claudio so he arranged it but then when Claudio asked to take a picture with David, he allegedly declined it because he was worried the dancer would ‘sell the pic to the papers’. 

Next, Jimmy said he has an angel wings tattoo on his back which he claims David ‘admired’ before getting a similar one himself.

He also claimed to have ‘beautiful lettering’ on the inside of his arm and that David got ‘lettering’ in ‘the same spot’. 

Jimmy then claimed that he and Mel had David and Victoria over for dinner several times and on one occasion, Jimmy cooked the couple shrimp pasta ‘which they loved’. 

‘Not long after that I read the newspaper, David is making shrimp pasta for Vicky . David is inspiring others to cook. Let me tell you this, before this man met me and saw me cooking proper the only thing he could make was a boiled egg,’ he wrote.   

In earlier social media posts, Jimmy accused David of ‘whitewashing history’ as he spoke about his complicated past and custody battle with Mel over their daughter Phoenix Chi.

Jimmy wrote cryptically: ‘Now you have a little bit and I believe I can continue as to why David is not telling the truth and for sure is trying to whitewash history. And I don’t know why.’ 

Jimmy did not explain whether he was referring to a specific exchange or issue with David. David’s representatives have declined to comment on the matter.

He later wrote ‘David suffers from Elvis Presley Syndrome’ which is the belief that if you become famous enough you will escape death because you will live on in the memory of countless people. 

After detailing his history with Mel B who moved to the US with their daughter after their split, Jimmy wrote in a rambling post: ‘I’m merely trying to give you more of a complete story as much as I can do this in a short kinda way. 

Earlier in his series of five long posts he insisted that he has ‘no intention of going to war’ with Mel despite dragging up the old custody battle over their daughter Phoenix.

Jimmy was married to Scary Spice from 1998 until 2000. Mel was three months pregnant with the couple’s daughter Phoenix Chi at the time of the wedding.

The couple then separated in January 2000, with their divorce finalised in June that year.

Mel moved to the US in 2003 after winning custody of Phoenix, and Jimmy soon followed, staying in the country illegally as he made strides to maintain a relationship with his daughter – but he said he was often left feeling suicidal.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun in 2017, he said that his ex-wife made great efforts to sabotage his relationship with Phoenix.

Before making the white washing comments about David he turned his attention to discussing the history of his relationship with Mel and their daughter.

His first post read: ‘I’ll tell you in short as to what happened after I left the U.K. I do want to say this. I have no intention to go back at war with my ex Mel.

‘I’ve said what I said a few years ago about all of it and I hope this book is closed. Mel is happily married and I truly wish her and her new hubby the best. However in my story I will have to mention certain things because everything is intertwined one way or another…’

He then continued about his choice to move to the US to see his daughter more: ‘After the judge decided that my ex could move to the United States with my child (still the worst decision a judge can make, to separate a child from a father) I got a court order which ordered that I had the right to visit my child in the U.S. 

‘I did. I got myself a travelers visa which allowed me to travel up and down from London to L.A without too much hassle at the border. However with my first visitation to see her, I had the rights by court order to have her for two weeks. 

‘Unfortunately I saw her only for two days. And as I promised I won’t go into as to why I only saw her two days. Either way it made me realize that if I would live in Europe, my child wouldn’t have a father while growing up, and I would not be able to see my child growing up. 

‘But more so, I had a feeling that I had to protect her, to let her know that her father is there at all times. So overnight I made the decision to stay in the U.S. I called my then girlfriend to ship everything over and that she was welcome to come as well. I figured out where my daughter went to school so I could live close by. Sounds all good right ? Well it was until the letter came in.’

He then added in a separate post of his choice to stay illegally: ‘It was a letter from homeland security, I was given several days to leave the country. Believe me when I say that I tried many lawyers to get myself to stay but up to that point I had no luck.

‘I decided to stay and to go underground as in, illegal. Not knowing what was waiting for me. I was lucky that I was able to get my driver license with the visa I had. I was not allowed to work tho. Despite what everyone might think, I wasn’t rich, so I had to get to work.’

He then said that he started working at clothing store G-star before it was discovered that he was there illegally.  

He said: ‘After one of my lovely neighbors had a visit from someone from the Netherlands and recognized me, that cover was blown also. They were first shocked but then realized why I didn’t say anything. They knew me as Jimmy as a father and his daughter which was way more important then that celeb nonsense.’

Jimmy then described how he remained in the US doing ‘all sorts of jobs’ so he could still see his daughter. 

He said: ‘I was working from 11 to 11 everyday. But I had no choice bc I had to stay close to my daughter. I became a florist, a supervisor at a hotel in Beverly Hills. I became a driver where I was bringing rich people to shops , a doorman at the Snakepitt on Melrose for two years and some. 

‘There were times I had three jobs going. Whatever it was from cleaning toilets to running around for people, I did for the love of my child.’

His final post, the only one that mentions David, then said: ‘I had hard times, I’ve lived and slept on the streets of L.A, I know what it is to live in your car. I know how it feels not knowing what to eat the next day. 

‘I maintained consistence being a father, even tho behind the screens I was falling apart. My friends saw me suffering and told me to go back to Europe, I told them that if they are my friends never to say that again. It wasn’t an option.

‘Again I’m trying to tell you a little bit of my side of the story so you know. I don’t mind to answer your questions bc I got nothing to hide. Don’t think for a second I feel sorry for myself. I’m not asking for your pity either. 

‘I’m merely trying to give you more of a complete story as much as I can do this in a short kinda way. Now you have a little bit and I believe I can continue as to why David is not telling the truth and for sure is trying to whitewash history. And I don’t know why.’ 

It comes after on Tuesday Jimmy took to Instagram as he addressed David directly and accused him of having ‘memory loss’. 

He posted: ‘David Beckham it’s your old pal Jimmy Gulzar here, tell me, when are you gonna tell people the truth? Or… should I perhaps?’ 

Two hours later he took to social media with another post as he added: ‘David are you suffering from severe memorie [sic] loss, Or is it something else? Tell the truth!

‘Or did you just woke up one day and waved your magic want [sic] and poeff’. 

Fans took straight to the comments as they questioned what Jimmy could be alluding to as they all added: ‘Please do tell’.

However Jimmy confirmed the issue isn’t to do with money. 

As one user commented: ‘And all you want is David’s money,’ Jimmy hit back: ‘money ? Where ? How ? Insta ? Pfff go check your self before you speak’.

Another penned: ‘You’ve had decades to speak your truth. Strange timing,’ as Jimmy replied: ‘I can say the same thing, David had decades to tell the truth, why didn’t he?’

David Beckham’s representatives declined to comment when approached by the Daily Mail. 

Meanwhile David has not addressed it on his social media and has instead been helping to promote his son Cruz’s upcoming music release.  

Jimmy previously said of his ex Mel: ‘Mel’s a narcissist. She’s always tried to put a huge wall between my child and I. But I stood there like a rock to be there for my child. 

‘I just think she finds herself more important than her kids. She is famous and the only thing you have in your mind is, “I need to be successful”, that drive is unstoppable.’

Jimmy explained: ‘I had times I wanted to give up. Then Phoenix would call. She doesn’t know I was homeless to this day or that I was illegal.’
