While Phoenix declined to comment on Brooklyn's estrangement from his family, she did note that her close bond with David and Victoria's sons meant it felt like she had 'brothers' in her life.
She said: 'We were born in the same hospital – I literally grew up with them.'

Phoenix went on to tell HELLO!: 'I have so many good memories of me and the boys. We were around each other's houses a lot. It was like having brothers, as I was an only kid for a long time.
'We're still in touch, but everyone is busy and has their own life, so we see each other when we can.'
Phoenix added that as the daughter of Spice Girl Mel and dancer Jimmy Gulzar, being in the public eye has always felt 'normal' to her.
She added: 'Mum and I started off as friends. We both forget we’re family sometimes because we’ve been through so much together, and she had me so young [at 23]. She took me everywhere with her.'
It comes after Mel recently revealed how going through the 'took a toll' on her health.
Menopause is the natural end of menstrual cycles, typically occurring between ages 45 and 55. Symptoms include hot flushes, night sweats and irritability.
Mel said: 'I've been through my own menopause journey. Hot sweats, night sweats.
'Then you're cold, then you forget what you've gone downstairs for, then you go back upstairs and it's ongoing. God it takes its toll. I think there's something like 48 symptoms. I've more or less had nearly all of them at some point.

'This is why it's important to educate ourselves because us as women we need to take control over this. Do ourselves justice and make it easier and more simple for us, right?'
Last month Mel also shared an eye-catching post in a thong bikini and declared 'kiss my a*s' as it was revealed the 30th anniversary reunion tour has been axed.
The artist shared she is still in touch with the siblings, after Brooklyn cut ties with his family in a bombshell statement (Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz Beckham are pictured in 2023)
The singer took to Instagram with a defiant post saying she was 'walking away from the noise' just before the news broke that plans were dropped after the group failed to agree on plans for a comeback.
Bandmates Mel, , , and had been in talks for a series of concerts to celebrate three decades since the release of their debut single Wannabe.

However, it's now being reported that the group couldn't come to an agreement on a reunion - weeks after it was claimed that a project to celebrate the anniversary had also been cancelled, with sources claiming Geri in particular had been dragging her heels on whether to sign on.
While her bikini post came before the news of the axe was reported, Scary Spice was making her feelings clear in the post and already hinting at the change of plans as she walked along a tropical beach in the skimpy animal print swimwear.
She tellingly penned in the caption of her post: 'ITS MONDAY and I'm walking away from the NOISE… so if that is what your bringing you can KISS MY.'
However, Mel also took to her Instagram Story to post an old picture of the group as their song Never Give Up On The Good Times played - suggesting she hasn't lost all hope of a reunion one day.
It comes as Mel C herself confirmed that there was no reunion in the works, as she told The Smallzy Show on KIIS Radio: 'No, there is no reunion. We are communicating all the time. We want to do something – who knows when.
'But I still feel very optimistic and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future.'
