Mel B and her lookalike daughter Phoenix Chi will appear in the upcoming series of Celebrity Gogglebox, it has been announced.
Phoenix, 25, is Mel’s firstborn, conceived during Mel’s short-lived marriage to Dutch back-up dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
Mel has a further two children, both girls: Angel Murphy Brown, 17, with Eddie Murphy and Madison Brown Belafonte, 11, with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.
Channel 4’s Gogglebox has been airing since 2013 and its celebrity edition has seen the likes of Graham Norton, Naomi Campbell, and Jeremy Corbyn.
This will be Mel’s second Gogglebox foray: she appeared in a 2022 special with British-American actress Ruby Wax.

It will also be Mel and Phoenix’s first time appearing on television together, Phoenix having previously hosted parts of ITV’s Olympics series The Games.
A Celebrity Gogglebox insider told Mirror: ‘It’s so exciting to have Scary Spice and Phoenix on the sofa together, they’re going to be fantastic.’
Leeds native Mel has previously described her eldest child Phoenix, who grew up in the US, as ‘very wise’, which will no doubt come across on the show.
The women share a close bond, with Phoenix frequently dressing up as Mel in her Scary Spice heyday.
The news comes after Mel was confirmed to be joining the cast of Bear Hunt, led by Bear Grylls and Holly Willoughby.
Bear Hunt, filmed in Costa Rica, is an £10 million Netflix adventure show that will see British celebrities go face-to-face in the jungle.
The gruelling endurance reality competition programme is set to star Boris Becker, Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas and rugby legend Danny Cipriani among others.
While other celebrities have landed in Costa Rica, it is unclear whether Mel B has arrived as she was due to speak in Manchester to discuss her memoir Brutally Honest.
An updated re-release, Brutally Honest details Mel’s marriage to ‘abusive’ ex-husband Stephen.
Mel is now happily engaged to Rory McPhee, and the couple are planning to marry in St Paul’s Cathedral – with Victoria Beckham designing Mel’s dress.

Bear Hunt will see Bear hunting down the contestants and when he finds them they will be eliminated from the programme.
