Tisdale, 40, published an essay detailing her feelings of being left out and excluded by members of a mom group - ultimately severing ties with the squad by sending a group text that read: 'This is too high school for me and I don’t want to take part in it anymore.'
But 32-year-old Trainor – believed to be part of the friend group in question – said there is no love lost between them.
'I felt bad for Ashley,' she told Us Weekly. 'I felt bad that she was ever that sad, and I think it was just a lot of miscommunication and confusion. I don't know what happened, but I wish them all the best.'
The Made You Look hitmaker also said the former High School Musical star apologized to her.
'Ashley texted me like, "I’m sorry your name got dragged in." And I was like, "It’s all right, girl. The world’s a silly, crazy place, and they just want something to talk about,"' she shared.

'It wasn’t our first choice, but we had endless conversations with our doctors on this journey, and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family,' the singer told People magazine. 'We are forever grateful for that option.'
