Meghan Trainor Cancels Nationwide Tour, Apologizes to Fans

 abruptly cancelled her nationwide Get In Girl Tour which was set to kick off in two months. 

The 32-year-old singer - who recently - made the announcement to fans in a message on her Instagram stories on Thursday. 

The All About That Bass hitmaker had been slated to begin the tour on June 12 in followed by an additional 32 dates across North America. 

'After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I've made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,' Trainor wrote. 

'Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take right now,' she further explained. 

The music artist penned that she needs to prioritize being at 'home and present' for her loved ones. 

'I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down.' 

Trainor added that cancelling the summer tour 'is the right decision for my family and me right now.' 

She sent a 'promise' to her fans that she plans to 'be back soon' and 'can't wait for you to hear this new record.'

The singer is set to drop her seventh studio album Toy With Me later this month on April 24.

'I'm so proud of it, and I'm endlessly grateful for your love and support always,' Trainor concluded.
