Even by Hollywood’s standards, cementing one’s love by drinking each other’s blood is nothing short of weird.
And if that wasn’t odd enough, Machine Gun Kelly then proposed with a ring designed with thorns, supposedly so his betrothed – Megan Fox – could never take it off.
But no matter how permanent the ring was designed to be, it couldn’t save their relationship and they split not long after they announced they were expecting their first child late last year.
Perhaps not ironically, it is jealousy that seems to have now brought the controversial couple back together.
Insiders have told the Daily Mail that the rapper, real name Colson Baker, 35, was irked by Fox’s ex husband Brian Austin Green’s offer to help raise his child.
‘There’s no love lost between Brian and MGK,’ our source said. ‘When he heard Brian offered to be a father figure to Megan and MGK’s new baby, that jolted him to take over father duties and ultimately led to MGK and Megan rekindling.’

Green, 52, and Fox, 39, got married in 2010 and announced their split in 2020. Their divorce was finalized in February 2022. They have three children: Noah, 13, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, nine. Green has since moved on with Australian ballroom dancer Sharna Burgess, 40, but he’s still willing to be there for his ex-wife.
While they had a tempestuous relationship of their own over the years, Fox’s pregnancy brought them together and Green is fiercely protective of her.
‘Brian warned Megan it’ll end in tears just like it has done many times in the past,’ our insider continued. ‘She said that despite their huge fights she can’t get MGK out of her system. She tried to hide the fact they’re back together again because she knew what Brian’s reaction would be.
‘Now it’s out in the open, she’s told Brian she’s owning it and knows exactly what she’s doing. Megan told Brian she doesn’t appreciate him poking his nose into anything in her personal life that doesn’t involve their three children.’
And it’s not just Green who is protective of Fox, but Burgess too.
‘Megan and Sharna also have a great relationship even though it’s not on public display,’ said a second insider. ‘Megan likes to keep her life private, and it actually took a while for her to let down her guard and let Sharna in. Sharna is protective of Megan and rarely will talk publicly about her.
‘The three of them get together for special occasions, especially the kids’ birthdays, because it’s in the boys’ best interests. Sharna is a great mother as well and she’s happy that Megan has opened up her arms and has allowed her to be part of the family.’
Fox and Baker met in Puerto Rico while filming Midnight in the Switchgrass in early 2020. After the Covid 19 pandemic shut down production, reports soon surfaced claiming the pair had been hanging out at Fox’s house. It came as Green confirmed he had split from the actress who he said told him she felt ‘more like myself’ on her own.

‘I can’t be upset at her because she didn’t ask to feel that way,’ he said on an episode of his …With Brian Austin Green podcast.
Come May 2020, Fox appeared in Baker’s Bloody Valentine music video in which she was seen duct-taping his mouth shut. Two months later they gave their first joint interview, with Fox calling him her ‘soul mate’ and ‘twin flame’. That same month they went Instagram official on Baker’s account and then Fox’s.
Soon followed a slew of gushing interviews about their unique love and connection – including how he wears a vial of her blood around his neck – before Baker proposed in January 2022. It was in her Instagram announcement that she revealed they ‘drank each other’s blood.’ She later clarified that was for ‘ritual purposes only.’
But come February 2023, the couple, who by this point had matching ring-finger tattoos, were on the rocks, with Fox publishing an Instagram post that alluded to cheating. She then deleted her account.
She later returned to the app, telling her followers: ‘There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind. That includes, but is not limited to… actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons.’
The pair reconciled after reportedly putting a lot of work into rekindling not long before Fox revealed she had suffered a miscarriage which sent them ‘on a very wild journey together and separately.’ She made the admission in her book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which contained ‘savage’ poems about Baker.
In November 2024, she announced she was expecting their first child with a photo of herself covered in a black liquid and cradling her baby bump.
One month later it was reported that they had split, although neither party confirmed it. She gave birth to their daughter Saga Blade Fox-Baker in March, with sources at the time claiming that despite their differences they were focused on coparenting.

Proving their relationship is amicable, Baker, who has teen daughter Casie, 16, with his ex Emma Canon, recently described Fox as a ‘phenomenal mom’ and ‘the greatest partner to have had a child with’ and made clear she should get all the praise for the parenting.
‘I want to detract any congrats to me, and just move it to Megan,’ he told Today With Jenna And Friends. ‘Because she really does all the work.’
Reports earlier this week claimed Baker is spending ‘pretty much every night at her house with the baby, and they act like a couple,’ but they ‘haven’t put a label on it or made anything official.’
The news reportedly didn’t sit well with Green who is ‘super protective’ of Fox and is said to have no qualms with making his distaste for the rapper known.
‘In recent years Brian and Megan have finally got to a place where they have been able to amicably co-parent,’ said our second insider. ‘Brian wants to make sure that she’s protected and supported by any man she’s with and he will go out of his way to make sure she’s taken care of.
‘When people like Machine Gun Kelly completely disrespect her, he loses his s**t. And it’s because he cares about her as his ex and as the mother of his children.’
They continued: ‘Brian isn’t fuming at Megan for making it work with MGK – he’s more-so letting her live her life, respecting her decisions, but he will voice his opinion and make it known how much he does not like him.’
In March, Baker blasted Fox’s ex-husband in a shocking direct message on Instagram, which the former teen heartthrob shared on Instagram.
‘Stop asking when our child is gonna be born. you the FEDS,’ read the message which was accompanied by a rat emoji and a police officer emoji.
‘Quit calling TMZ and focus on that apology you owe me for speaking on my name in public, Baker continued. ‘You chose the wrong one to f*** with mr child actor. Go back to cereal commercials.’
It wasn’t the first time the pair have got into it publicly. In February, Green took to Instagram to encourage the music star to ‘just be honest’ and to stop trying to ‘drag other people’ after he shared a cryptic Instagram about the narrative around his relationship with Fox.
‘Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people,’ Green said.
Only time will tell if their public feud will reignite in the wake of Baker’s rekindling with Fox. But one thing is for sure, Green is focusing on setting the best example for their children.
‘Megan tends to be more distant when she’s with MGK and when there’s distance between Brian and Megan, he feels like they’re not setting the best example for their children,’ our insider said. ‘His priority has always been his children.’
