Megan Fox is said to have revealed that she wrote her new book of poems about sex, desperation and self-harm after a ‘self-absorbed idiot’ ‘broke’ her.
The actress, 37, is gearing up to release her new poetry collection, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, and has reportedly opened up about her reason for writing the book.
In the prologue, Megan said she believes she is a ‘sacrificial lamb’ and described herself as a ‘hopelessly romantic open wound of a human’, according to The Sun.
She reportedly detailed how her poems, featuring themes of ‘isolation, torment, self-harm, desperation, longing, restlessness, rage, and general anguish’ poured out of her after a ‘self-absorbed idiot’ ‘finally broke her’.
Megan, who is engaged to Machine Gun Kelly, did not clarify who she was referring to in her comments.

Megan got engaged to Machine Gun Kelly in 2022 after two years of an on-off relationship, and was previously married to Brian Austin Green.
Megan first met Brian, who is 12 years her senior, on the set of the sitcom Hope & Faith, and they started dating, with Megan being 18 years old at the time.
Brian popped the question in 2006, but they called off the engagement in 2009 before they announced in June 2010 they were engaged again, and tied the knot just days later.
Megan filed for divorce from Green in August 2015, though they reconciled in early 2016 before they split for good in May 2020. The couple share three kids together.

‘Some poems contain a Grimm’s-fairy-tale-type element, and others serve the same purpose as memes in online culture.
‘All of it is something women can relate to. Acting doesn’t really allow me to express myself fully in the way writing does because I’m reading someone else’s words under someone else’s direction. Poetry gives me a space to experience some catharsis through art.
‘For most of us it’s not a fairy tale. Relationships are not pretty. They are ugly. Sometimes they are a war. But through a wound enters an opportunity to grow and become a stronger more whole version of yourself.’
The star admitted that she kept some of her more ‘unsettling’ poems to herself because they were ‘too graphic’ for others to read.
Sharing an excerpt from a poem entitled: ‘a beautiful boy is a deadly drug’ – the star wrote: ‘you are an addiction that no amount of prayers will ever cure.’
Seeming to refer to her ‘twin flame’ connection with MGK, the poem included the lines: ‘this thread, through our past lives, tightly wound around my neck. My cries for relief floating unheard into the ether. You are killing me but my heart won’t give you up.’
Megan has been open about how she believes that she and MGK are beyond soulmates as she referred to him as her ‘twin flame’ on the Lala Kent’s Give Them Lala podcast back in July 2020 very early on into their relationship.

She said: ‘Instead of a soulmate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time.
‘So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.’
The actress and the rapper have been engaged for two years, and although they’ve been through a few rough patches, seem intent on tying the knot one day.

‘They have had their ups and downs, like any other couple, but right now, things are good,’ the insider intimated.
