Mavis Leno expresses feeling great at Unfrosted premiere in LA following dementia diagnosis and conservatorship approval

Jay Leno and his wife of 44 years, Mavis Nicholson Leno, enjoyed a date night at the Hollywood premiere of Netflix film Unfrosted on Tuesday – three weeks after an LA County Superior Court judge granted his conservatorship amid her dementia diagnosis.

‘I feel great, yeah!’ the 77-year-old philanthropist told ET on the red carpet.

The former Tonight Show host added: ‘Thought I’d come to something fun for a change. Everything is so controversial. Just to come to a funny, silly movie – it’s great. I think people will have a great time. Well, we hang out every day. We have a great time. 44 years! So we’re doing good.’

Jay might have turned 74 on Sunday, but he said they didn’t do anything special because he’s ‘not a big birthday guy.’

‘Neither of us [are]!’ Mavis added, leaning her head on Leno. ‘We just have each other.’

The two-time Emmy winner agreed: ‘My life is a party anyway, so every day is a good day.’
