On Monday's episode of his podcast, On Par with Maury Povich, the television personality, 87, broke his silence about speculation on his appearance over the years.
When his podcast guest, fellow talk show veteran Ricki Lake, 57, asked if he had ever undergone any plastic surgery procedures, Povich candidly replied: 'Zero.'
The admitted that he 'wanted to do some things over the years' but hesitated to do so.
Povich also insisted that he does not wear a wig and said his full head of hair is completely real.
'I don't know how,' he said. 'I mean, even my father's hair, he lived until 92, it thinned out.'

On Monday's episode of his podcast, On Par with Maury Povich , the television personality, 87, addressed the speculation about his appearance over the years
He continued: 'My brother's hair thinned out. My sister has hair like yours, perfect hair.'
During their conversation about 'aging like fine wine,' Lake said she did not consider her hair 'perfect' but said she was very 'grateful.'
Not only does she 'feel good in [her] body,' she said she is 'really happy.'

Povich also reflected on how he started in news journalism before becoming a talk show host.
'For the past 30-plus years, everybody has thought of me as a kind of a talk show host who [discusses] certain themes,' he explained.

'That was a great career, and I love the storytelling, and I think that I was able to do successfully because of my earlier career as a journalist and a storyteller when it came to news, and rather traditional talk shows that I did,' he added.
'If I was sitting at a desk back anchoring a newscast, I would never unveil myself. And so this is, I think, a perfect medium.'
