It was revealed last week that Maura had been replaced as a host on Love Island USA – but she’s already moving on with her bid to break America
A source told The Sun: ‘Maura is becoming a huge star across the pond and her slot on The Traitors is just part of that.
‘The future is bright – and has stars and stripes.’
Maura’s decision to relinquish her role as Aftersun presenter reportedly came as she was unable to continue due to scheduling conflicts.
But the long-standing Love Island favourite revealed it’s not the end of her affiliation with the show.
In a video announcing the 34-year-old’s replacement would be Aussie presenter Sophie Monk, Maura said: ‘Don’t get too comfy, I’m coming back.’
Confirming the Irish former Islander will be making a return, a source told The Sun : ‘Maura wasn’t able to commit to hosting Aftersun this season due to other work commitments, but she will be back on screen in some capacity later in the run.’
Having shot to stardom during series five of Love Island alongside Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, Maura first appeared on American television in 2023.
She made her return to Love Island becoming the social media presenter for Love Island USA and the Love Island Games.

Just a year later Maura bagged the role as host of Love Island USA: Aftersun, becoming an instant hit with viewers.
She returned to British television in 2024 with an appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in a move which has proved to be lucrative for the Irish star.
Following the show, Maura has bagged a host of brand deals including one worth six figures with cosmetics brand L’Oreal.
With Maura admitting she was ‘relieved’ to have been touted by the French business following her drunken kiss with Danny Jones at the BRITs, the 34-year-old posed for photos after signing the deal in March.
Maura was then seen sharing a ‘drunken kiss’ with McFly’s Danny Jones – who has been married to his wife Georgia for over a decade – as they attended Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty.
As Love Island celebrates its 10-year anniversary, Maura’s name is one of those attached to a potential spin-off which will feature some of the biggest stars from the show.
The ITV favourite will reportedly celebrate its anniversary by welcoming back former islanders to reveal some of their juiciest secrets.
Other stars linked to a returned include Zara McDermott, Dani Dyer and Ekin-Su Culculoglu.
The spin-off is expected to air some time soon, and is reportedly likely to take on a ‘Gogglebox style format’.
