Matthew McConaughey is celebrating his wife of 12 years, Camila Alves on the occasion of her 41st birthday.
He shared a lovely photo of the two of them clad in shades of blue.
The Dallas Buyers Club star, 54, wore a navy blue t-shirt with a denim hat and aviator sunglasses as he sat with his back against a forest green door.
His Brazlian wife – who is the couple’s daughter Vida’s twin – leaned back against him, sitting between his legs. She wore layered patterned shirts in blue with yellow and white accents. Her hair was down and she wore sunglasses as she looked off to the side.
The Dazed and Confused actor captioned the post: ‘exceptional ambiance. #happybirthday hot mamma @camilamcconaughey.’

The world may know McConaughey as a world famous movie star but back home in Austin, Texas he’s known as Dad. On his birthday, his eldest son Levi shared a sweet birthday message for his dad, sharing a photo of the whole family
The longtime couple has been together for 18 years and married for 12. They share three kids – Levi, 15, Vida, 13, and Livingston, 10.
He also shared a video his eldest son Levi made when he was six in which he said: ‘My mom is the bomb. For real.’
‘I made that post when I was 6, it still holds up,” he said. “Love you so much and thank you for being the best mom that I could ask for, that we could ask for. Seriously.’
The world may know McConaughey as a world famous movie star but back home in Austin, Texas he’s known as Dad.
On his birthday in November, Levi shared a sweet birthday message for his dad, sharing a photo of the whole family.
‘People know Matthew McConaughey as an Actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father; The man who always makes time for us no matter what, the man who’s always there for us no matter what, and the man that taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination.
‘The journey is just getting started…Happy birthday Papai,’ he captioned the post.
And while they have a solid marriage, they still have disagreements, but that doesn’t scare The True Detective star.
The couple appeared on the January 24 episode of the Your Mama’s Kitchen podcast and were asked what they have learned in their kitchen about ‘how to argue productively.’
‘In the middle of that disagreement, if I was to say, [be] the cook that night, and I was doing my steak sushi, if I’m gonna give you — slice you off another bite, and then go serve you, there’s an invisible dissipation to the disagreement that happens in my service to her,’ he revealed.
‘That I handed her a gift. Of something that we were already really enjoying. That I continued,’ he explained.
Even if the disagreement comes during a meal, the meal isn’t over. The couple work it out over the remainder of that meal.
The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actor emphasized that the couple won’t ‘quit serving’ each other – literally.

‘Even if you and I are in a disagreement, the fact that you still make my tea in the morning and serving my tea…It’s the difference between being married and dating.’
‘Yeah. Trust me, ladies, some mornings I do not want to serve that tea,’ Alves admitted.
‘But she still will make it for me anyway!’ McConaughey added.
