has come to a tragic end as the 43-year-old was discovered dead on Saturday.

Brown's brother Bear confirmed the news in a video, where he revealed that a body had been found in a river in northern  'a few hours ago.'

The body was later confirmed to be Brown, whose brother Noah helped police pull his lifeless body from the water.

Bear suggested that Brown died by suicide and spoke of a wound on his body that looked to be 'self-inflicted' but did not reveal the location or severity of the wound.

'I would've never expected he would hurt himself, honestly,' Bear told his TikTok followers of Brown, who had a history of drug and  addiction prior to his death.

'He struggled for a long time with addiction and I was so worried for a long time that he was going to OD. I didn't think that he would hurt himself.'

Brown appeared on Alaskan Bush People with his family from 2014-2018.

Bear said that the coroner allowed him and other family members to see Brown's body following his retrieval from the river.

Bear also asked that the public 'respect [the] family' amid their grieving and to 'watch the comments' that they leave on social media about Brown.

'Sometimes words can hurt more than fists can,' said Bear, who noted that one of Brown's last social media posts was about the 'negativity' he had received online.

Brown, who appeared on Alaskan Bush People from 2014-2018, had vanished days earlier

'Please be respectful to the family, to my mom especially,” he said. “Please don’t attack my mom. Mom cares very much for Matt and always has.'

Bear said his brother had recently had a 'really bad breakup'.

they saw Brown around 8am Wednesday near Driscoll Island Wildlife Area off Highway 97 in Oroville, Washington, less than a mile from where the witness saw the man in the river.
