David Del Rio has hired high-profile lawyer Shawn Holley following his recent firing from the CBS show Matlock after sexual assault allegations raised by his co-star Leah Lewis.
The Miami-born actor, 38, hired Holley, 63 – who has past repped celebs such as Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and Lindsay Lohan – earlier this week, insiders told TMZ Wednesday.
Lewis accused Del Rio of sexual assault to CBS officials on October 26 in connection with the September 26 incident.
Del Rio was removed from the parking lot following the allegation and prior to his firing, sources told the outlet.
CBS confirmed his character Billy Martinez will be written out of storylines on the legal drama, with expected changes onscreen in the second-half of the show’s second season.

Sources with the Los Angeles Police Department told TMZ that no matching report of an assault was filed with them in conjunction with the allegations raised by Lewis.
Executive producer Eric Christian Olsen was among those who let away the actor on the Paramount lot, insiders told Variety.Â
Lewis took to Instagram in the wake of the news of her allegations against her co-star breaking, posing with her mother in a picture.
Lewis captioned the shot, ‘Mom is here, we’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands.Â
‘Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care.’
Lewis wrapped up in saying, ‘Truly, we’re moving forward in strength. Key word, strength.’
Del Rio’s wife Katherine Del Rio slammed his accuser in an Instagram Stories post.
‘This is the most disturbing human being I have ever met,’ she said in text splayed on a close-up of Lewis.

Patricia Boysen, who works as a theatrical talent agent for Katherine, told Daily Mail at the time of Katherine’s posts, ‘At this time, the Boysen Agency has no comment.
‘We wish Katherine the very best during this difficult time.’
The sophomore season of the Matlock debuted on CBS October 12, with Del Rio’s character slated to be penned off during the second half of the season.
A hiatus had already been in place for October and November following the filming of the show’s first half of season two, Variety previously reported.
Production is expected to pick up after Thanksgiving, sources told Deadline.
