Julie Goodwin’s remarkable weight loss journey was highlighted again this week, when the famous foodie shared ‘before and after’ magazine covers.
The MasterChef star, 55, took to Instagram to celebrate her appearance on the upcoming Christmas edition of the Australian Women’s Weekly.
She posted an image of the upcoming cover which showed a very svelte Julie happily posing in front of an inviting coastal backdrop.
Julie looked festive in a classic white top with floral embellishments on the sleeves and a flowing, floral-patterned red skirt, cinched at the waist.Â
She paired the new cover with her very first from 2009, highlighting her incredible transformation.
‘Sixteen years ago I was pinching myself as a new columnist for @womensweeklymag and even more so when I was their Christmas cover,’ Julie captioned the post.

‘Thanks to all who have expressed concern about my health. I am well, and I am within the healthy weight range. My doctor concurs,’ she wrote.
‘For those who have asked me for advice or tips, I am not qualified to provide this. It’s advice that should be sought from your trusted health professionals, not from me. I’m a TV cook,’ Julie continued.
‘For those who want to comment on the shape and condition of my body, please do it on your own page because I’m tired of reading it. For that reason, I’ll be turning off comments on this post.
‘For all of us, can we please find something more interesting to talk about?Â
‘Can we please model kindness to our kids and grandkids, and can we please leave this obsession with people’s looks back in the 1980s? Peace and love.’
Julie was prompted to speak out after a recent selfie led to comments asking whether she was ‘sick’.
‘I’m actually concerned… to be honest, but if you are healthy and well, there is nothing to worry about,’ one fan commented.
