The Masked Singer Australia aired what many fans called a ‘filler’ episode on Monday night ahead of the grand finale episode om Tuesday.
With the finale so close, many fans were left confused by why they were seeing ‘rerun’ content on the precipice of a winner announcement.
Channel Ten aired a similar retrospective last year, with the special episode this time looking back at stand out contestants from the past, including Charlotte Crosby, Kyle Sandilands and Melody Thornton.
Not everyone was entertained, with many airing their thoughts on social media, and several people unaware that Ten weren’t airing the finale on Monday.
‘Is this whole thing just a filler episode?’ asked one viewer with someone else saying, ‘Wait? What? I don’t get to see who wins #MaskedSingerAU tonight?’

Yet another person wrote: ‘You’d feel pretty ripped off to be in the audience for this show’ with someone else saying, ‘Wait, the finale is not today?’
‘Yeah nah not interested In a clip show’ said one person, while one more wrote: ‘Not happy Jan about reruns’.
‘Tonight is just a ‘filler’ episode. Why do they do that?’ asked another, while one more said, ‘No idea why #MaskedSingerAU persists with the stupid filler episode’.
‘Why are they wasting a whole show showing past contestants’ asked one more with someone else writing, ‘Oh wait I just realised it’s like this for the entire episode’.

‘Honestly, they could’ve just had a normal competition episode and ended with the final two tomorrow night’ ‘ chimed in one viewer.
‘They manage to drag out every other episode with content, why would this be any different?’ they added.
Not everyone tuning in to the special episode was disappointed, with some having a ball watching the retrospective.
‘They did this last year, I’m okay with it, I like hearing the best bangers’ said one person.
