Lucinda Light has been on an incredible journey since her stint on Married At First Sight earlier this year, cementing herself as a force to be reckoned with.
Fresh off sold-out shows across the UK, Scotland, and Ireland, the 43-year-old star has opened up about her whirlwind career, her feud with Timothy Smith, and her upcoming projects, including a book and a new TV show.
‘The last six weeks have been incredible,’ Lucinda told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I’ve been over in Europe shooting a television show for Channel 4 UK that I absolutely loved. The role they gave me is just so me. After that, I toured all over the UK and Ireland, connecting with people, sharing stories—it’s been a blast.’
Lucinda’s book, Shine Your Light, is set to release on March 27, but if fans were hoping that she would be spilling the beans about her time on the hit show, they’ll be disappointed.
Described as a guided journal, her new book aims to help readers deepen their emotional intelligence.

‘It’s about transforming people’s lives, equipping them emotionally, and offering tools to navigate life,’ Lucinda explained.
‘It’s been the best project, working with Harper Collins. I love writing, and I’ve got so much to share after years in the self-development field.’
On top of this, Lucinda has partnered with Intrepid Travel to curate a holistic adventure retreat.
‘We’re unplugging from devices for seven days and immersing ourselves in nature,’ she revealed.
‘There’ll be meditation, yoga, emotional intelligence talks, snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef, and nourishing local food. It’s about resetting, nourishing, and connecting.’

The Feud with Timothy Smith
However, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing for Lucinda.
Her former MAFS co-star Timothy Smith appears to still harbour resentment, sending texts and calls that Lucinda had to block.
‘Tim seems so angry. Everyone asks me about him, and I always say I love Tim, my doors and arms are always open,’ she said. ‘I could have said so much more about him, but I’ve always held him up, and he just doesn’t get it.’
Despite their tension, Lucinda remains hopeful for reconciliation.
‘I’ve already apologised on Instagram. I just wish him healing and peace. I miss Tim from my life, but he’s in pain, and I just hope it doesn’t keep flaring up.’

Rumours of Jealousy
When asked if her success has sparked jealousy among her co-stars, Lucinda was quick to shut it down.
‘The cast has been fantastic [to my rise to fame]. We’re all celebrating each other,’ she said.
‘Everyone is doing their own thing—Jack Dunkley’s gym, Jayden Eynaud’s boxing, Jonathan McCullough and Ellie Dix buying a house. I feel like I’m in my niche, and I’m so grateful MAFS gave me this platform.’

Dating and Reality TV Aspirations
Though Lucinda admits dating hasn’t been a priority, she’s open to finding love.
‘I’d love a husband, a life partner, but I need to trust the universe. I’m not on dating apps; I need an emotional connection,’ she explained. ‘Hopefully next year, I’ll carve out some time for it.’
When it comes to reality TV, Lucinda is selective but interested in Dancing with the Stars or I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
‘Those are the two I’d love to do, whether in the UK or Australia. But right now, my priority is the Channel 4 show. It’s a reality show we haven’t seen before—authentic, intentional, and holding people to their highest selves.’

Advice for Future MAFS Stars
Lucinda had sage advice for future participants: ‘Go in with authenticity. Be your full self—nerdy, bold, wise, whatever you are.
‘Know yourself, be unwavering, and roll your sleeves up. Also, be kind—to yourself and others. It’s a wild ride, but it can be an amazing human experiment if you let it.’
With her unstoppable energy, creative ventures, and unwavering focus, Lucinda is shining brighter than ever – and there’s no doubt she’s just getting started.
