Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis has whipped her fans into a frenzy after sharing a photo of the ‘ugly’ bathroom basin she plans to install in her renovated home.

The influencer, 36, shared a photo of the proposed addition – a yellow Seventies-style basin that juts out from the wall.

The design, which features exposed piping underneath and no space for a cabinet, has left many of her followers scratching their heads. 

The bold, retro-inspired piece also has a single tap and an unmistakable yellow hue – a far cry from the sleek, modern design many had expected. 

Martha later revealed fans had been flooding her inbox with DMs criticising the proposed installation, begging her to reconsider.

‘I can’t! The most ugly basin I’ve ever seen in my life. Looks like something from the ’70s,’ one horrified follower sniped.

‘It’s awful doll!’ a second person wrote.

The reality TV star then begged her followers to stop messaging her.

‘Guys, everyone needs to chill over the basin. This is why I mind my own business,’ Martha wrote. 

Martha has developed a reputation for being outspoken on social media. 

In September, she hit back at online trolls who accused her of sponging off her parents.

She currently lives in parents Mary and Theo’s Melbourne home along with fiancé Michael Brunelli, 34,  and their one-year-old son Lucius.

Martha and Michael are one of MAFS’ greatest success stories and their relationship still going strong five years after they were paired on the dating experiment. 

The reality star took to Instagram to answer a rather loaded question from one fan, pulling no punches in her response.

‘Why don’t you and Michael pay your own way like the rest of the world?’ they asked, referring to the young family’s current living situation.

Martha rejected the claim she was sponging off her parents.

She said the decision to live with Theo and Mary was not financially motivated.

‘Our living arrangement has nothing to do with money,’ she wrote.

‘The sad thing is you probably believe we live with my parents to capitalise off of the situation. That is the furthest thing from the truth.’

She added her young family’s current living situation was beneficial to all involved. 

Martha rose to fame on season six of MAFS Australia in 2019.

The makeup artist went on to build a career for herself as an influencer, model, brand ambassador and reality star.
