She dressed for the weather in sandals and accessorised with a stylish pair of sunglasses.

The actress, who plays the main character Erin Croft in the show, wore her brunette tresses in a sleek ponytail as she welcomed her family onto the set and they proudly showed off their new addition to the crew.

It follows the news that Brassic has been axed and won’t be returning after its seventh series, which is the one currently being filmed.

Co-creator and writer Danny Brocklehurst: ‘When Joe Gilgun and I sat down to create Brassic, we couldn’t have imagined, in our wildest dreams, that we would do seven series and gather such a loyal and loving fan base.

‘It’s been a complete joy to create this eccentric world, but all good things must come to an end, and we want to stop while we are still riding high.

‘Maybe they can finally give us that BAFTA.’

After the announcment, Michelle took to her Instagram stories on Wednesday to claim that the beloved show ‘is not cancelled’ but instead ‘came to a natural end’.

‘Because Palma, my little baby, is making me extremely tired. I turned up this morning and Olly went “you look shattered”.’

Olly and wife Amelia – who welcomed their first daughter, Madison, 11 months ago in May – took to Instagram last week to confirm they will soon be welcoming another baby.

During his and Mark Wright’s Heart radio show on Saturday, Olly spoke for the first time about becoming a dad again, admitting he didn’t ‘expect it to happen this quick’.

As his pal Mark congratulated him on the news, he asked the star how ‘buzzing’ he was.

Olly, 40, replied: ‘Mate, it’s been… you know when you have those weeks where you can’t tell anyone? It’s been really exciting news for us both.

‘A shock, we didn’t expect it to happen this quick, but just yeah, amazing. We just want to grow our little family.’

‘You should be so proud of yourselves. You’re the best mum and dad ever to Maddie, and the fact you’re doing it again, giving her a little sibling, is just sensational,’ Mark gushed. ‘I love you mate, and I love the whole family, and I’m just buzzing for you.’

‘I won’t go into the full details right now, but while this is please God not a fatal disease, we are coming to terms with the fact that our son will need intervention at least twice in his life.’

Michelle gave birth to a baby girl in March and has been sharing glimpses into her new mum life ever since.

Last week, Michelle and Mark took the little one on her first visit to five-star hotel, Corinthia London for a long weekend.

Sharing a slew of stunning snaps, Michelle looked effortlessly stylish as she made her way around the big smoke, baby bag and pram in tow.

In one image, she showcased her gorgeous figure in a white wrap around top and matching trousers, as she posed for a glamorous mirror selfie, before slipping into a more casual getup of black trousers, a white T-shirt and tan jacket.

She left her brunette tresses down and accessorised with a pair of oversized brown sunglasses to protect her eyes from the spring sun.

Another picture showed the new-mum looking effortlessly stylish as she enjoyed a sunny day out with baby daughter.

Michelle teamed a chic brown leather jacket with alabaster trousers and comfy trainers while shielding her eyes behind shades.

These included a personalised dressing gown with her name embroidered on the front from the hotel, some clay mugs – one stamped Palma and another stamped Palma’s mama – and two gorgeous gold necklaces – one with her daughters’ name written out and another with a string of P’s across it.

Earlier in the week, Mark took to his Instagram Stories to give an insight into the lavish trip, where hotel staff kindly gave them some adorable gifts for Palma.

The doting father shared a sweet video of him and Michelle walking into their very luxurious hotel suite, complete with an extravagant chandelier and spiral staircase.

Michelle flashed a huge smile as she cradled baby Palma while hotel staff had put photographs of them with their daughter in silver frames on a table.

A toy bunny was also placed on the table with ‘Palma Wright’ written on a red bow around its neck in a heartwarming personal touch.

‘It’s the little touches… special,’ Mark gushed in a caption alongside his videos.

Mark recently opened up about what he’s finding difficult as a first-time parent of a newborn on his Heart FM radio show this morning with his co-host Olly Murs .

The revelation came as they read out a message from a listener who said sorting through their clothes is ‘tiring’.

Mark jokingly responded: ‘Lisa, I’m going to go back to what you just said there, it’s very tiring sorting your clothes in your room – don’t talk to me about tired right now.

‘Because Palma, my little baby, is making me extremely tired. I turned up this morning and Olly went “you look shattered”.’

Laughing, Olly quipped: ‘You know what, it’s your eyes, it is the first time I’ve seen these little bags in all the years I’ve known you, just here, and it is a dad thing, it is a parent thing, all of a sudden you get these little bags under your eyes.’

Mark agreed: ‘Yeah, they say dad bod don’t they, they never warn you about dad eyes’.

Despite the lack of sleep, the reality star continued to gush about how much he’s loving being a dad.

He said: ‘It is the best thing ever. It is the best thing ever. Except when I am trying to wind her after a bottle at 2am, nightmare.’

Mark described fatherhood as the ‘biggest achievement’ of his life after welcoming Palma into the world with Michelle on March 6.

He told Olly: ‘Mate, it’s actually hard to put into words.

‘It’s the biggest achievement of my life its all I think about but obviously hats go off to my wife she is an absolute super human, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world.’

Sharing his appreciation for Michelle, he added: ‘It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.

‘It’s the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.’

Recalling the first moment he held Palma, he continued: ‘That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it.

‘I suppose everything else goes out the window and its made me realise what life is all about and my little baby Palma I love you so much and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

‘It’s a very special feeling. I cant really put it into words. We’ve waited a little bit of time, we’ve chased our dreams and our careers and now we’re here. We’ve got a baby.’

Mark and Michelle announced the news of their daughter’s birth last month with a sweet snap shared to Instagram.

It’s believed the couple chose the name Palma because of their strong links to Mallorca, their go-to holiday destination and the setting for their pregnancy reveal photoshoot.

The couple tied the knot in May 2015 and they live together in a £3.5million Essex mansion which they built from scratch.

  • KATIE HIND: The ‘vile and cruel’ comments Mark Wright made about Lauren Goodger that left her in THERAPY, while he shows off his perfect life

KATIE HIND: The ‘vile and cruel’ comments Mark Wright made about Lauren Goodger that left her in THERAPY, while he shows off his perfect life

SITTING on the sofa of his Essex home alongside his best friend James ‘Arg’ Argent and sister Jess, Mark Wright watches a clip of his on-off girlfriend Lauren Goodger getting a spray tan, dressed only in underwear.

‘She looks f****** 19 stone, the div,’ he says as both Jess and Arg tried to keep straight faces.

This sickening comment was screened on the ITV reality show The Only Way is Essex in its first series back in 2010.

It was part of the ugly narrative that Mark set up – and the show happily broadcast – that Lauren, his childhood sweetheart, was not as slim as some of her co-stars including Amy Childs. Lauren says she was a size 10 to 12 at the time and has since revealed that she had to have therapy to deal with the comments.

At the time though, it was compulsive viewing. Millions watched and giggled along as Mark and Lauren played out their tumultuous romance for the cameras.

But 15 years on, things are very different.

As Mark, now 37, enjoys life as a first-time father after wife Michelle Keegan gave birth to daughter Palma last month, sources close to Lauren ask how he and ITV ever got away with making such vile comments about her.

One friend tells me: ‘It is unbelievable that that was allowed to ever be screened. You have to remember the impact these kind of things can have on someone.

KATIE HIND: The ‘vile and cruel’ comments Mark Wright made about Lauren Goodger that left her in THERAPY, while he shows off his perfect life

Lauren says she was a size 10 to 12 at the time and has since revealed that she had to have therapy to deal with Mark’s comments about her weight

‘Some of the things Mark said to Lauren were absolutely vile, they were awful and cruel. Lauren was nowhere near 19 stone. It all feels so misogynistic. Mark was the popular lad who had girls throwing themselves at him

‘But then you have Mark’s sister Jess sitting there too.’

But that jibe was just one of many cruel jokes Mark made at Lauren’s expense that were aired on prime-time television.

At one point, while he and Lauren were on a break, Arg asked Mark if he’d get back together with her. Mark replied: ‘You know what my ideal thing would be, don’t you? I would just like to freeze her and unfreeze her again in ten years, but unfortunately I can’t do that. Talk of the devil, Lauren’s calling now.’

In another scene at Mark and Lauren’s engagement party in 2012, co-star Lucy Mecklenburgh admitted to Lauren that she had spent the night with Mark.

Instead of apologising to Lauren, Mark shouted at Lucy for confessing.

‘You watch those scenes and Lauren was an emotional punch bag. If it wasn’t about her weight, it was Mark humiliating her.

‘ITV would say some of it was scripted but it was all based upon what was going on in real life – and so often it was cruel.’

Mark Wright with Lauren Goodger at their engagement party in May 2012. Mark called off the couple’s marriage plans five months later

Mark and Lauren had met as teenagers and Lauren was close to Mark’s family – including Jess.

When TOWIE launched, they became instant stars. Their relationship was central to the show for the first two series before Mark left to pursue his own career.

Mark’s playboy antics – which led to tears and fights – were ratings gold dust and helped the show earn a controversial Bafta in 2011.

Mark and Lauren even got engaged on the show – only for Mark to call off their decade-long relationship entirely five months later.

Now mother to daughter Larose, three, Lauren says: ‘I made myself a doormat and he wiped his feet on me every single day.’

This unpleasant chapter in Mark’s life is surely one he’d rather forget as he promotes himself as a wholesome dad and husband to former Coronation Street actress, Michelle.

Indeed, when Lauren appeared on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2014 – two years after their split – at the same time that Mark, 38, starred on Strictly Come Dancing, he was said to be concerned about what she might divulge about their relationship.

He was so worried that he sent a letter to producers Endemol to remind them of a contract that Lauren had signed four years earlier promising not to speak about him. Lauren reportedly signed the agreement in 2010 while the couple – who were together at the time – were on holiday.

That episode, say those familiar with the two reality stars, illustrates the lengths Mark was willing to go to in order to protect his image as he embarked on a solo career.

‘Mark had been desperate to get himself a career in showbiz,’ said one source close to him. ‘He was absolutely thrilled when his agents managed to pull it off but then it became clear that Lauren was also going to be on the telly at the same time – on Big Brother.

‘It’s the show where people are paid to say sensational things. It was bad luck for him that while he was trying to elevate himself to the next level of his career, Lauren was also on the airwaves.

‘While Lauren might have been fairly tame in what she has said about Mark, what he said to her on TOWIE is all over YouTube, something Mark will surely hate.’

Friends of Lauren, 38, point out that it isn’t just Mark at fault, but also ITV. Indeed, they have come under much criticism for how their reality television stars are treated – and how it affects their mental health. The channel was forced to increase their duty-of-care protocols following the deaths of Love Island stars Sophie Gradon, who was aged 32 and Michael Thalassitis, aged 26, who took their own lives after appearing on the dating programme in 2018 and 2019.

Then a year later Caroline Flack, its host, tragically died by suicide after she was ousted from the show after being charged with attacking her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

‘Lauren has struggled with being famous,’ said one former pal. ‘She deserved better from ITV – and Mark.’

Olly Murs has broke his silence after announcing he is expecting his second child with wife Amelia.

The couple, who welcomed their first daughter, Madison, 11 months ago in May, took to Instagram on Friday to confirm that they will soon be welcoming another baby.

The singer told the crowd at the time how he had been juggling nappies and late nights, but felt guilty he had been working away from home.

‘And I’m on tour with Take That. I feel guilty!’

Last month, Olly candidly confessed he broke down in tears after he was forced to leave her just two days after her birth.

He admitted to the emotional toll the decision had on him months after when he realised he had never got to know his daughter as a baby.

Speaking with new dad Mark Wright on their Heart Breakfast show, Olly confessed: ‘It was really hard for me as I had to leave two days after the baby was born to go on tour with Take That.’

He explained: ‘I didn’t really process it at the time and a few months later me and Amelia were chatting and I just broke down in tears as I never got a chance to actually get to know this little baby.’

While touring with Take That, Olly raced home to Essex after gigs to spend time with Amelia and Madison.

In the exclusive clip obtained my MailOnline last April, Olly explained: ‘But this week I’ve been home.

‘I’ve done the nappies, I’ve done the late nights and I can’t wait to stay on tour.

‘I’m joking! Honestly, she is truly awesome.

‘I never thought I’d be a dad, so I can’t quite believe it.

The couple, who live in a £3.5million Essex mansion, announced the birth of their first child in March and have been enjoying the first few weeks of parenthood.

They had their first family holiday at the £350-per-night luxury members’ club Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, and have recently been enjoying a city break in London.

Mark took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday night to give an insight into the lavish trip, where hotel staff kindly gave them some adorable gifts for Palma.

The doting father shared a sweet video of him and Michelle walking into their very luxurious suite, complete with an extravagant chandelier and spiral staircase.

His wife flashed a huge smile as she cradled baby Palma while hotel staff had put photographs of them with their daughter in silver frames on a table.

A toy bunny was also placed on the table with ‘Palma Wright’ written on a red bow around its neck in a heartwarming personal touch.

The hotel also gifted the baby a dressing gown and tiny slippers with her name embroidered, with Mark sharing a picture of the items to Instagram.

He also gave an insight into their high-end stay, complete with a very lavish meal and stunning rooftop views of London’s city centre.

‘It’s the little touches… special,’ Mark gushed in a caption alongside his videos.

The star recently opened up about what he’s finding difficult as a first-time parent of a newborn on his Heart FM radio show on Thursday morning with his co-host Olly.

Mark agreed: ‘Yeah, they say dad bod don’t they, they never warn you about dad eyes.’

It’s believed the couple chose the name Palma thanks to their strong links to Mallorca, which is their go-to holiday destination and the setting for their pregnancy reveal photoshoot.

Michelle Keegan looked effortlessly stylish as she enjoyed a sunny day out with baby daughter Palma on Friday.

The actress, 37, who welcomed the tot with husband Mark Wright last month, took to Instagram with a glimpse from their outing to a fun fair, captioning the snap: ‘Hiya’.

Michelle teamed a chic brown leather jacket with alabaster trousers and comfy trainers while shielding her eyes behind shades.

The stunner wore her long brunette locks in a half up half down style and pushed her beloved daughter in her £1,249 for the iCandy Peach 7 Coco pushchair.

It comes after Mark opened up about his adorable baby daughter while bringing the newborn to work with him earlier in the day.

The Heart FM host delighted fans with a rare glimpse of his daughter when he brought her to the radio studios, resting her over his shoulder and admitting it was ‘the best feeling ever’.

And he was keen to talk about fatherhood when he appeared on Friday’s episode of This Morning to promote his radio show with Olly Murs.

He was asked what had prompted himself and Michelle to name their daughter Palma, asking him about the reports they had named her after their favourite Spanish resort.

Mark simply explained: ‘That’s what the papers say, we just love the name, we love the name Palmer with an “er” and then we just liked the way it read, so we just love the name really.’

The former TOWIE star also revealed the three words of guidance that Ed Sheeran – who has two daughters – had given him.

He explained: ‘We saw Ed last week, I’m a super fan, and he walked up and went “how are you feeling?” He said: “Trust me, it gets easier.”‘

Yet despite finding some aspects challenging, Mark insisted fatherhood was ‘incredible’, adding: ‘They say it’s the best feeling in the world, they’re not wrong.’

Mark Wright cheated on Lauren Goodger leaving her broken and humiliated. As he now shows off perfect life, KATIE HIND reveals shockingly different fate of Towie ex – and ‘vile’ comment she made

Cradling his newborn baby girl as he lay in bed at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse retreat, even Mark Wright couldn’t believe his luck.

There for a family getaway just weeks after his wife, actress Michelle Keegan, had given birth to little Palma, he gave a hint as to his contented state of mind when he posted the picture to his two million followers on Instagram.

‘In my Dad era…’ he wrote, affectionately. ‘Trip away with my girls.’

An old pal of Mark’s jokingly commented that the former The Only Way Is Essex star looked remarkably like a ‘competition winner’ as he posted from his £800-a-night cabin in the Oxfordshire countryside.

The friend added that Mark looked ‘smug and showy-offy’ as he also posed on one of the private members’ club’s famous turquoise bikes, and was pictured strolling with his daughter in a fashionable £1,200 buggy.

But then, that is Mark. Catapulted to fame in 2010 on the ITV reality show, he is – according to those who know him best – ‘a right show off’.

And talking of eras, those latest wholesome photographs illustrate something else rather neatly: the stark contrast between his life now and his early days of fame when he was dating his last serious girlfriend, childhood sweetheart Lauren Goodger.

Mark, former associates point out, has ‘wholly reinvented himself’ since meeting and marrying Michelle.

And since the Fool Me Once actress – who is unanimously described to me as a ‘lovely, lovely, lovely girl’ – gave birth to their first baby last month, they have been remarking upon just how different the two women are.

‘Mark’s torrid past has been long forgotten,’ a source told me. ‘He is good at his own PR and has totally reinvented himself.

‘He must be chuffed. He cheated on Lauren and now, today, he’s making out he’s the perfect catch. Life’s good for him. You wonder if he ever gives Lauren a second thought.’

It’s likely to be a little different for Lauren. Indeed, those who know her say that their split in 2012, after ten years together, left her distraught and humiliated – hardly surprising given that Mark cheated on her several times, including with his TOWIE co-stars, Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh.

The pair had met as teenagers and Lauren was close to Mark’s family. When TOWIE launched, their relationship was central to the show. They were its golden couple, their many ups-and-downs documented across the drama’s first two series.

Mark’s extra-curricular antics, which led to some fiery scenes, were obviously ratings gold and helped the show earn a controversial Bafta in 2011.

Things didn’t get juicier than the series two finale, which took an explosive turn when Mark riled Lauren by failing to invite her to his house party, fearing she might make guests feel uncomfortable.

Inevitably it led to fireworks. Lauren gate-crashed the party and angrily confronted Mark before pushing him into his outdoor pool.

They eventually split in 2012 and, while Mark began his bid to whitewash his lothario reputation and become a household name, Lauren found herself cruelly ridiculed for her looks on the covers of celebrity magazines.

Their lives and careers continued to follow different trajectories. While Mark signed up for Strictly in 2014 – making the final and eventually coming in a respectable fourth place – Lauren took part in Celebrity Big Brother and became the seventh housemate to be evicted.

Lauren with her ex, builder and semi-professional footballer Charles Drury, with whom she had two children; the youngest, Lorena, died when she was two days old. Drury was later charged with assaulting the TOWIE star on the day of the funeral

Lauren with her ex, builder and semi-professional footballer Charles Drury, with whom she had two children; the youngest, Lorena, died when she was two days old. Drury was later charged with assaulting the TOWIE star on the day of the funeral

Mark married Michelle the following year and has spent the last ten years in wedded bliss. But Lauren has endured more than her fair share of heartache. She met builder and semi-professional footballer Charles Drury, and gave birth to their baby girl, Larose, in July 2021. She became pregnant a second time two months later, but the couple split up shortly afterwards.

Lauren was then left devastated when their second daughter, Lorena, tragically died at just two days old.

Drury was later charged with assaulting Lauren on the day of Lorena’s funeral, and accused of ‘controlling and coercive behaviour’ during their relationship.

He was cleared last year after she withdrew her support for the prosecution.

However, she has prompted speculation that they are back together after appearing together a week ago in a live video on social media platform TikTok.

‘It must have been hard to watch Mark turn himself into this handsome, wholesome star,’ said a former associate of Lauren’s. ‘He was horrible to her, and that all seems to have been forgotten now Mark and Michelle are together.

‘Michelle and Lauren really couldn’t be more different – you can imagine Mark will definitely be thinking he has moved up in the world. There is no way Lauren would be good enough for him anymore.’

Lauren, pictured with her daughter Larose, moved into a bog-standard detached house near to Brentwood where TOWIE was filmed, while Mark and his family live in a mansion in the Essex village of Ongar, which is said to be worth £3.5million

Lauren, pictured with her daughter Larose, moved into a bog-standard detached house near to Brentwood where TOWIE was filmed, while Mark and his family live in a mansion in the Essex village of Ongar, which is said to be worth £3.5million

Today, Mark lives in his ‘dream home’ with Michelle – a mansion in the Essex village of Ongar which he bought for £1.5million, demolished and rebuilt. It’s now said to be worth £3.5million and boasts a stunning staircase and swimming pool.

Lauren, meanwhile, moved into a bog-standard detached house nearer to Brentwood, where TOWIE was filmed.

And while Michelle has had roles on successful TV dramas such as Our Girl and Bobby and Tina, in which she played the late England World Cup winner Bobby Moore’s wife, Lauren appears to be concentrating most on her clothing range.

¿In my Dad era...¿ Mark wrote, affectionately, on social media. ¿Trip away with my girls¿

‘In my Dad era…’ Mark wrote, affectionately, on social media. ‘Trip away with my girls’

She and her daughter are often seen wearing matching outfits to publicise the brand on social media. Lauren also regularly does paid interviews for celebrity magazines and will make deals with the paparazzi to take her picture in public, which can be sold on to the press.

Michelle, by contrast, has yet to show baby Palma’s face – and I’m told she never will. Instead, fans have had to make do with a side shot of her head and a peek at her tiny hands.

‘Michelle has no plans to thrust her daughter into the limelight, unlike Lauren,’ a source said.

‘But then, their lives are very different.’

My sympathy for Lauren is limited. I met her back in 2011 at the Prima High Street Fashion awards at the Battersea Evolution venue and she was one of the vilest celebrities I have encountered.

She had recently split from Mark (though they did briefly get back together) so I introduced myself and explained I was friends with her publicist. I said I understood that she may not want to talk about her romance ending, but that I wanted to introduce myself and say hello regardless.

She went silent. Then, as she looked down her nose at me, she said in her Essex twang: ‘I ain’t allaahhed to tawwwk abbaahhht it.’

I know a rebuttal when I see it, so I simply said I’d leave her to it. ‘Yeah, you’d bettah,’ she snarled.

Michelle, on the other hand, has never been anything but polite and, well, lovely.

‘By looking at the women in Mark’s life, it shows just how much he has changed,’ said a source familiar with the former couple.

‘They are different in literally every way, and Mark knows which type he now prefers.’

Confused, Olly asked: ‘What?’ as he began walking out of the studio doors, to which Mark jokingly quipped: ‘We’re live on the radio, we’ve got four minutes where are you going?’

In response, Olly cheekily turned around to stick his bum out, indicating that he needed to use the toilet quickly before they began.

He said: ‘It is the best thing ever. It is the best thing ever. Except when I am trying to wind her after a bottle at 2am, nightmare.’

Mark and Michelle announced the news of their daughter’s birth earlier this month with a sweet snap shared to Instagram.

In a sweet black-and-white photo, the proud new parents held Palma’s tiny hand, with the newborn dressed in a crochet set.

It’s believed the couple chose the name Palma because of their strong links to Mallorca, their go-to holiday destination and the setting for their pregnancy reveal photo shoot.

Michelle married Mark in May 2015 and the couple live together in an Essex mansion they built from scratch.

In the snap, Michelle lovingly kissed Palma’s forehead as she cradled her to her chest while standing on the porch outside their countryside cabin.
