Just days after Mark Wahlberg sparked speculation about ‘giving up’ on Las Vegas while selling his $16.6 million townhouse, the actor reveals his wife and kids are ‘adapting nicely’ to desert life.
Wahlberg, 52, his wife Rhea Durham, 45, and their kids Ella, 20, Michael, 17, Brendan, 15 and Grace, 13, moved to Las Vegas almost exactly a year ago in October 2022.
The actor was promoting Wahlberg Week for his fitness brand F45 when he opened up about his family’s new life in Nevada.
‘Everybody’s adapted nicely. The kids are all out at school, and everybody’s happy,’ Wahlberg said.
He added that he’s, ‘constantly busy and traveling, so I’m looking forward to getting home and spending some time with the family’ over the holidays.

Wahlberg revealed in a mid-October 2022 appearance on The Talk that he moved his family to Nevada.
‘I want to be able to work from home. I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there,’ he said.
‘To be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us,’ he added.
‘We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lot of opportunity here,’ he added.
‘I’m really excited about the future,’ he added.
In another interview from April 2023 he reiterated that his kids, ‘love Vegas.’
‘I spent lots of time in L.A. pursuing my interests and my career and now it’s time for them to pursue theirs. Everybody is thriving there, it’s been great,’ he added.
He also recently opened up in a conversation with Cigar Aficionado, where he spoke about his various business ventures including his new tequila, Flecha Azul.

While he certainly seems more comfortable tending to his own brands, Wahlberg indicated he’s coming to the end of the road for his acting career.
‘Well, I’m certainly working harder now than ever. Certain businesses, you kind of build them, pass them on or you exit,’ Wahlberg said.
‘Hopefully my kids, we’ll see what their interests are, but I don’t think that I’ll be acting that much longer at the pace I am now. That’s for sure. Because that’s the most difficult thing,’ Wahlberg added.
