Mark Consuelos has shocked Kelly Ripa with an on-air confession that revealed he shared a ‘passionate kiss’ with a soccer fan over the weekend.
The 53-year-old cohost of LIVE With Kelly And Mark admitted that he planted a smooch on a stranger while celebrating the victory of his football club, Campobasso, which would be moving up into the third division.
While speaking to audience members and to Kelly – who he just marked 28 years of marriage with – he revealed that he closed his eyes and kissed the fan, whom he referred to as ‘somebody else’s aunt.’
He recalled the special embrace and shared a slew of details regarding the moment his foot flew up as they canoodled before Kelly doubted the incident ever occurred as she begged to see footage of the peck.

Mark admitted that he was so caught up in celebrations and just planted one on the fan.
He explained that after his team won, which was a ‘huge deal,’ he ‘ran over to our fans’ and was met with the plexiglass barrier, which was up because wins ‘get very dramatic in Italian football.’
‘In the adulation, in the celebration, on the field, when we found out that the other team tied and we are champions… we ran over to our fans,’ Mark said.
‘I’m running and I see this lady. Let’s call her my aunt… maybe someone else’s aunt. Not my aunt. Someone else’s aunt. And we look at each other and she’s so excited. And there’s this glass, and we come to the glass, and you know what? I kissed her.’
Meanwhile, Kelly didn’t buy his story and begged to see proof.
The 53-year-old mom-of-three added: ‘Do we have footage of this? We don’t have footage of it?’
And since there was no camera proof, Mark continued to attempt to convince his beloved wife that the moment did in fact happen and he wasn’t fibbing about the ‘passionate kiss.’

‘I laid one on her. It was a smooch, but it was passionate,’ he said before sharing a shocking detail.
‘I actually closed my eyes,’ he said before Kelly interjected and said, ‘That doesn’t happen. You never close your eyes!’
‘I closed my eyes and my back foot went up. I laid one on her.’
His wife replied: ‘That is incredible. With an open mouth?’
‘No, no. It was like a smooch.” But it was passionate,’ Mark insisted.
Meanwhile, Kelly began speculating about his ’emotional affair.’
‘Did you have an emotional affair?’ Kelly said, prompting Mark to quickly backtrack and add: ‘No. It could have been a guy, by the way. I don’t know.’
Kelly jokingly added: ‘Don’t try to save yourself now. You’ve already qualified this as somebody’s aunt.’
Kelly and Mark became investors in the Italian soccer club in 2022. Within the first season of their ownership, the team won 28 out of 30 matches.
On Wednesday, Mark and Kelly celebrated their 28th anniversary together.
Mark took to Instagram to dedicate a post to his wife. Alongside a series of photos, he said, ‘Forever thankful you decided to go on this crazy, beautiful ride with me. Happy 28th anniversary. Love you.’

The first episode of LIVE With Kelly and Mark aired April 17, 2023, with Deadline revealing that it was just one of two daytime talk shows to improve on its average total viewership from one year earlier.
Mark also spoke with the outlet, revealing, ‘I have to say it’s probably the fastest year of my life.’
Kelly also recalled that she was ‘staunchly against’ making her husband the permanent cohost, even though he had already guest-hosted more than 100 times.
