Marilyn Manson will not be charged in a series of domestic violence and sexual assault cases.
Manson, 56, real name Brian Hugh Warner was accused by a dozen women of sex abuse, rape, and torture and has vehemently denied all the allegations.
Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced on Friday that his office will not be pursuing charges against Manson following a four-year investigation.
He said: ‘We have determined that allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt.
‘We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to make reports and share their experiences, and we thank them for their cooperation and patience with the investigation.
‘While we are unable to bring charges in this matter, we recognize that the strong advocacy of the women involved has helped bring greater awareness to the challenges faced by survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.’

In a previous denial, Manson had claimed his accusers had ‘misrepresented the past’ and said all his sexual encounters were ‘entirely consensual.’
He said: ‘Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.
‘My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.’
Manson settled lawsuits by two women including Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco in 2023.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigated Manson for 19 months before turning its evidence over to prosecutors in 2022.
His ex-girlfriend, actress Evan Rachel Wood, also accused him of sex crimes but never filed a lawsuit.
Manson filed a defamation lawsuit against Wood and her friend, Illma Gore, over what he calls ‘malicious’ and ‘false’ sexual abuse allegations which ‘derailed his successful music, TV and film career’.
A judge threw out parts of Manson’s lawsuit in August, and the case was dropped in November.

‘For years, plaintiff Brian Warner raped and tortured Defendant Evan Rachel Wood and threatened retaliation if she told anyone about it,’ her lawyer wrote last year.
Wood also claimed Manson threatened the families of women who accused him of sexual assault and sex trafficking, and even told her he would ‘f**k’ her eight-year-old son.
‘I took his threat seriously, then and now,’ she said during a court battle with her ex-boyfriend Jamie Bell over custody of their son, Jack.
Manson’s threats forced Wood to install bullet proof glass windows, a steel door and a security fence around her Los Angeles house, she told a judge.
‘I am looking into attack dogs and security guards at night,’ she added.
‘I only recently learned that (Manson) was involved in human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of minors on a large scale.
‘These new developments, combined with the pending criminal investigation, lead me to be very concerned about our child’s safety when in Los Angeles.’
