Maria Thattil has once again become a target of vile homophobia.
The former Miss Universe Australia, 31, has been on the receiving end of nasty messages since she started dating AFWL star Moana Hope, and said a hateful troll threatened to physically assault her for being in a same-sex relationship.
‘I had somebody who actually commented on a video of my partner and I, and said that I needed to be physically assaulted to beat the gay out of me,’ Maria revealed on her It’s All Her podcast.
‘I haven’t talked about it, but it’s like you need to be beaten to go back to your default. Like, these are the messages that people think it’s okay to send me.’
Maria went on to say ‘all you can do is laugh that there are people out there who think this way’ despite how scary it is.

‘I don’t feed it. I block and delete because if I fed every single thing, my mental health would just be really in a bad way,’ she added.
It’s not the first time Maria has opened up about the cruel comments she has received over her romantic relationship with Moana.
In November, the brunette beauty took to Instagram to share one mean message with her fans which read: ‘This makes me sick, you are both going to hell.’

The model hit back at the troll with an epic comeback.
‘I read this comment to Moana Hope this morning and she high-fived me and said “see ya there”,’ she wrote in response.
Meanwhile, Moana recently hinted she will soon propose to the brunette beauty.

Posting a series of images of the pair glammed up for their night out at the Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards to Instagram last year, the pair seemed smitten.
In one photo, Moana even appeared to be about to get down on bended knee and pop the question.
In the comments, fans noticed the romantic air of the images, with one person asking: ‘How do I get tickets to the wedding?’
Moana was quick to reply to the curious follower ‘Watch this space!’ along with a laughing emoji.
