Maren Morris marked the finalization of her divorce from Ryan Hurd by sharing a video on her TikTok account on Saturday.
In her clip, the 33-year-old singer sang a line from Tammy Wynette’s 1968 track D-I-V-O-R-C-E, which was featured on her album of the same name.
The hitmaker, who recently left country music behind, also stitched a clip from a wedding ceremony where the groom made an off-color remark to his partner, and she wrote that she ‘would have been a runaway bride’ in that situation.
Morris and Hurd, 37, initially met during a songwriting session that took place in 2013.
The artists began dating two years later, and they made their red carpet debut in 2016.

She then added that she was close to ‘so many people that have gone through breakups or divorces.’
Although she stated that, at the time, her divorce was ‘ongoing’ she said that she would ‘like this to sort of wrap up.’
Morris then expressed that, although she was not ready to get back into dating, she had received a boost of creative energy from her divorce.
‘I don’t have the headspace for that yet. But I’m writing so much right now, that’s kind of been my way of dating is just through song,’ she said.
