Mandy Moore celebrated her milestone 40th birthday with her nearest and dearest at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles.
The songstress shared candid shots from the intimate bash, attended by her husband Taylor Goldsmith, 38, and pals such as Hilary Duff, 36.
The bash featured custom ‘Mandy’s Candy’ apparel – a reference to her 1999 track Candy – along with decadent treats and a song written by her Dawes rocker husband.
Mandy dropped photos from the celebrations to her Instagram account, kicking off a slideshow with a snap of her blowing out the candles to her decadent cake.
It also contained a snap of her with Taylor, along with a shot of Mandy posing with her gal pals, including Hilary, who is expecting her fourth child.

Taylor could be seen hitting the stage, likely playing the track he wrote for Mandy in honor of her 40th birthday.
‘This is 40,’ Mandy captioned the snap. ‘Elated to step into this next decade with purpose, intention and gratitude for all that it has in store. As one who doesn’t LOVE parties, this birthday called for some sort of celebration and @taylordawesgoldsmith really heeded the call with a night of music (I insisted he play a few) along with our beloved favorite @themikeviola.
‘I forgot to take pictures but luckily @cfwein stepped in to capture the evening. A huge thank you to @thehotelcafe for hosting us, @themikeviola for indulging my playlist and coming to jam (thanks to Trev and Griff too) @whoanellycaters for the greatest eats, @valerieconfctns for cakes that everyone couldn’t stop raving about (the cheesecake remains a solid fav) and @yasminemei with the most incredible florals that some were lucky enough to take home at the end of the night.
‘No one deserves more credit than the love of my life for putting it all together, recruiting @tuff_gus to design the raddest party swag and writing a song for the occasion that brought the house down in tears.
‘Last slide is an iPhone demo after he wrote it on he piano in our living room. I can’t wait for this next season and all the ones after, by your side, @taylordawesgoldsmith. Yay to reaching the fourth floor- I like the view from up here!!’
A slew of celebs sent Mandy their birthday wishes in the comments section, including her co-star from A Walk To Remember, Shane West.
‘welcome,’ he wrote along with two heart emoticons and a sunglasses emoji.
Even Hilary’s husband Matthew Koma sent his congratulations to Mandy.
‘Happy birthday Mandy!!! Your party was the best night of my life,’ he commented.
Matthew and Hilary are currently awaiting the arrival of their third child together. It is Hilary’s fourth child overall, as she has a son from her previous marriage.

Taylor also paid tribute to Mandy on his own Instagram account, writing: ‘It’s my favorite human being’s birthday today. Thanks for showing me and everyone else we know how to live life with such kindness, grace, intention, and selflessness (sometimes too a fault – lemme clean up the boy’s dinner while YOU watch the first 10 minutes of Cars for a change).
‘There’s no way I’ll ever be able to properly pay you back for the love, the joy and the meaning you’ve brought to my life. But I’ll never stop trying. I love you so much it hurts. I hope this birthday is the absolute best one yet. And I’m sorry Gus keeps wishing me a happy birthday instead of you. P.S. the last photo is my gift to you.’
