Mandy Moore was spotted in public for the first time since Ashley Tisdale’s toxic mom group drama went viral.

The 41-year-old actress is one of several celebrity mothers rumored to belong to the group Tisdale allegedly criticized as ‘toxic’ in her pointed The Cut article.

She did not venture near the topic during her public appearance on Saturday evening, as she performed the theme song of her TV series, This Is Us, which aired from 2016 to 2022.

The star had taken the stage for a live podcast taping to discuss the making of the music for the sitcom, as seen in exclusive photos and videos obtained by the Daily Mail.

She was joined by her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, for a live performance after opening up about collaborating for the show’s most memorable tunes.

Moore took the stage with Dan Fogelman, the creator of the show, as well as composer Siddhartha Khosla, who created the This Is Us score, for the taping.

She was also joined by her That Was Us podcast cohosts and former costars, Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan.

Following the discussion, Moore gave a live, acoustic performance of Invisible Ink (Rebecca’s Demo) with her husband playing the guitar and supporting her with his backup vocals.

Moore’s fellow castmate Hannah Zeile also performed Where I Belong and Blake Stadnik sang Memorized from the series’ soundtrack.

Chris Sullivan performed his song Messiah Moon under his stage name Joseph the Spouse.

Sterling K. Brown performed his ‘Career Day song’ titled If You’ve Got a Farm before reintroducing Moore for a performance of the moving ballad The Forever Now.

Then, Brown and Sullivan took over again for an energizing duet of We Can Always Come Back to This.

Her appearance came amid the ongoing toxic mom group drama.

Moore was previously pictured alongside Tisdale as well as pop star Meghan Trainor and former Disney star Hilary Duff in a group photo.

Earlier this month, Disney alum Tisdale wrote an article for The Cut titled ‘Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group.’

Tisdale claimed in the article that she had felt ‘frozen out’ by the group during her postpartum period.

Duff’s husband Matthew Koma seemingly confirmed they were the friend group Tisdale was referring to when he mockingly recreated her cover and said she was ‘tone deaf.’

While the High School Musical actress did not list any names in the story, fans were quick to point out that she unfollowed both Duff and Moore on Instagram around the time of the article’s release.

Tisdale wrote that she had been left out from some gatherings and added, ‘All of a sudden I was in high school again, feeling totally lost as to what I was doing “wrong” to be left out.’

She continued, ‘I texted to the group after being left out from yet another group hang: “This is too high school for me and I don’t want to take part in it anymore.”

Trainor denied being involved in the drama by sharing her confused reaction, but Moore has not yet addressed the drama.

On Thursday, January 8, Moore made her first post amid the growing backlash over Tisdale’s ‘toxic mom group’ essay.

In the essay Tisdale had first published on her blog, she wrote about how she felt frozen and pushed out by friends while postpartum.

A few days later, the drama got increasingly heated after Koma posted his clapback and Duff’s estranged sister Haylie liked Tisdale’s essay.

Trainor shared a TikTok expressing her confusion over the viral ‘feud’ while Moore later reshared Koma’s social media post and called him ‘one [of] the most talented and generous humans I’m lucky to know.’

His original post was a video of Moore performing her song Candy at a California benefit concert on the anniversary of the devastating Pacific Palisades fires.
