Speaking about forging her own path and not conforming to trends, Mathilda – who landed in the Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2023 – she told Dazed Digital this year: ‘I am very passionate about the fact that we are not allowed to fully express ourselves.
‘People want instant gratification – if you aren’t producing art that is in keeping with media trends and social standards, you aren’t able to grow because no one validates you.
‘I want to communicate and teach people how to be undeniably themselves. This is something I will be exploring and learning this year. Expression is the word!’
