Beloved Australian foodie Maggie Beer has made a comeback after recovering from a horror fall at her Barossa Valley home last August.
The 80-year-old has launched a new cookbook, The Best of Maggie Beer, which hit shelves this week.
Beautifully illustrated with photos of Maggie’s delicious dishes, the book gathers together the MasterChef stars favourite recipes which originally appeared in the pages of The Australian Women’s Weekly.
Maggie shared the news to her Instagram on Wednesday and teased fans with a preview of what they expect from her latest tome.
‘For over a decade I have been lucky to share my recipes with The Weekly’s readers, showing that beautiful meals don’t have to be complex,’ Maggie said in the post.
‘To celebrate our partnership, I’ve gathered together my favourite recipes which have appeared in the pages of the magazine.’

Maggie also posted the cover of the new book where she can be seen wearing a summery white frock.
She also shared a gallery of images of her scrumptious looking dishes including a meat pie, and a rhubarb pie.
Also included in the post were some of Maggie’s wise words about cooking.
‘Sharing love over a meal is what it’s all about,’ she said.
It comes after Maggie revealed how she has had to rethink her ‘workaholic’ life after she was rushed to hospital after her accident at home last year.
The celebrity cook now says she ‘regrets’ how hard she has worked herself over the years.
‘I’ve been too much of a workaholic, but that was because we had nothing,’ she tells the Daily Telegraph.
‘I guess with milestone birthdays, I’ve found in my life from the age of 40, really significant… being almost like a lynch pin,’ she continued.

‘And this one is absolutely (like that), knowing that there needs to be this change in the way I live my life.
‘Knowing that I’ve been a workaholic, and this is going to sound funny, but that I do deserve time to slow down. This work ethic has been part of my life, all my life.’
Maggie says she was left ‘super exhausted’ after her fall as she went through the long process of recovery and it has taught her to stop and smell the roses.
In October, Maggie posted a video to Instagram revealing she was making a slow recovery and hoped to be back to normal soon.
Many of Maggie’s celebrity friends quickly took to the comment section to wish her a speedy recovery.
In August, Maggie was rushed to hospital after a fall in her South Australian home left her with fractured bones and bruising.
