Taku said Al is spending time away to work on his ‘mental health’ and insisted the pair were ‘still quite close’.
‘Al has decided not to continue to host Back to Reality with me. He’s okay, he’s fine and doing just fine,’ Taku began during the first few minutes of the show.
‘He’s taking a little bit of time off to focus on his relationship and his faith. I think it’s important to take a little bit of time off when you’re feeling a bit uneasy and time away to focus on your mental health.’
‘Me and Al are still good… I wish him nothing but the best and we are still quite close,’ he added.
Al also mentioned the pair met on The Island, a floating club on Sydney Harbour
