Married At First Sight star Lucinda Light has supported her co-stars Jono McCullough and Ellie Dix after they were targeted by cruel trolls.
The reality TV fan favourite, 43, took to Instagram on Thursday to share an array of snaps with some of her MAFS co-stars, including new couple Jono and Ellie.
In a heartfelt message of support, she said she was ‘proud’ of them and that she knows who they are ‘at the core’, after they were hit by an onslaught of abuse from online trolls.
Business owner Jono, 39, and nurse Ellie, 32, were originally matched up with other partners but formed a relationship after filming ended in a controversial twist.
Seemingly addressing the cruel trolling they have received, Lucinda sent a sweet message to her ‘treasured’ friends as she urged them to keep their spirits ‘high’.

Alongside a gallery of snaps with her co-stars, she penned: I made some really treasured friendships on the experiment and it’s been ace to hang outside of the show & kick it with these legends!
‘Johnno and Ellie, I know who you are at the core & I’m so proud to stand beside you both & attest to you being wonderful humans. Keep holding your spirits high and each other close…’
As well as snaps with Jono and Ellie, Lucinda also posted pictures of her ex Timothy Smith, who she remains close with, and their co-stars Andrea Thompson, Cassandra Allen, Eden Harper and Michael Felix.
It comes after Jono pleaded with cruel trolls to be kind in an emotional video as he addressed the hatred he and Ellie have received over their relationship.
He was embroiled in an on-screen controversy when it was revealed he had been texting Ellie, who had already left the show, without telling his bride Lauren Dunn.

Flocking to their aid, Lucinda, 43, took to Instagram to share snaps with her MAFS co-stars, including Jono and Ellie, alongside a sweet message (she is pictured with Ellie and Andrea Thompson)
Jono adamantly insisted the texts were completely innocent, but the blow-up ultimately led to the end of his rocky relationship with PR maven Lauren, 32.
At the MAFS reunion, Jono debuted his relationship with Ellie – who was matched with Ben Walters on the show – but they insisted things had only become romantic after filming ended.
After the scenes aired, the couple criticised the show for allegedly showing their relationship in negative light, while Jono also opened up on the brutal trolling he has dealt with.
He worried fans when a video circulated on Instagram showing him looking upset as he discussed the ‘horrible’ trolling he and Ellie have received over their relationship.
Jono emotionally admitted that it has been ‘hard’ for him to ‘get up each morning’ as because of the onslaught of vile comments from cruel trolls.
In a heartfelt message of support, she said she was ‘proud’ of Jono (pictured with Timothy Smith) and urged them to keep their spirits ‘high’ amid the onslaught of abuse
He candidly shared: ‘This goes out to all the haters, all the people who’ve said the negative comments – I get it, I understand. People ask me, “do you hate the trolls” and I say “no”, because if I saw what they saw, I’d probably feel the same way.
‘I probably wouldn’t go as far as some people have, there’s been some pretty horrible stuff, but you know, I get it.
‘No matter how strong you are, it takes a toll, it does, it’s been hard getting up each morning and being confronted by all the negativity, but I get it, I do.
‘To all the people who sent love and support, it’s a surprise to us, but man, we’re super appreciative.
‘As I said, if I saw what you guys saw and didn’t know anything else, I wouldn’t send as nasty stuff as I’ve seen, but I get it.’

Taking to the comments section, an array of fans flocked to support the new couple as they slammed the cruel trolls for bombarding him with hate messages.
Jono and Ellie both recently criticised MAFS producers for their edit on the reunion show in a bombshell interview with Daily Mail Australia.
The couple said they felt producers deliberately decided to show their relationship in negative light as they criticised how they were portrayed at the dinner party.
‘We were hoping they were going to show it as a beautiful thing that came out of this experiment, and they just chose to show us looking pretty evil, like laughing at Sara and Tim and Lauren and this is not how it happened,’ Jono said.
Jono’s rocky relationship with Lauren Dunn came to an end after his texts with Ellie were revealed, with the bride refusing to believe they were friendly, innocent messages as he said
‘I think they showed every bit of PDA we had over 6 hours and some of it multiple times cramped into one minute.’
‘It was really rough. Feeling so exhausted just from watching Monday’s episode,’ Ellie admitted as she discussed her ‘villain’ edit.
‘I could see why people would say we’re mean people after watching that, but it’s not how it happened.
‘I’ve actually never been called a “mean girl” in my life. And anyone that I meet would be like, “I can’t believe that’s Ellie”. It’s just so not me.’
