Jack Dunkley has finally broken his silence over the controversial comment he made on Wednesday night’s episode of Married At First Sight.
During the explosive dinner party episode, the 34-year-old personal trainer left the other couples and viewers alike completely stunned when he told Jonathan McCullough to ‘muzzle’ his wife Lauren Dunn.
Now, Jack has admitted that he felt ‘instant regret’ following the vile insult.
‘I was disgusted obviously, at that point in time I was a bit of a broken man and everyone has breaking point,’ he told 9Entertainment.
‘To Lauren’s credit she kept on baiting and she got me there.’

However, Jack revealed he had to ‘stand up’ on behalf of his and bride Tori Adams after their relationship was in the firing line.
But he admitted to wishing he had approached the topic more maturely.
‘The first thought I had was, “What are my parents gonna think? What are my sisters gonna think?” I was pretty ashamed,’ he added, revealing that he’d apologised to Lauren after the act.
Jack’s ‘sexist’ comment came during a blazing row when Lauren, 32, confronted him over ‘disrespectful’ remarks he had made to Jono about his wife Tori.

Lauren revealed how Jack told her husband Jono he would give another groom ‘permission’ to sleep with Tori ‘because he isn’t attracted to her’, prompting the outrageous outburst from Jack.
The drama first kicked off when Lauren revealed that Jack had made a shock remark about Tori while chatting to Jono at the gym, leaving her completely outraged on her friend’s behalf.
She explained how Jack said ‘if there is a couple swap situation in the experience, that the boys have permission to sleep with his wife, because he doesn’t want to because he isn’t attracted to her’.
Last year, MAFS introduced the controversial ‘partner swap’ experiment, which saw the participants exchange partners and share a bed together for a whole weekend.
The shock revelation saw a huge argument break out around the dinner table and ‘villain’ Jack shocked the group when he told Jono to ‘muzzle’ his wife Lauren
At the dinner party, Lauren and some of the other brides then pulled Tori aside to make her aware of what Jack had said, leaving her looking downtrodden and upset.
Lauren relayed: ‘Jack told the boys something in the gym, he said “if we get to couple’s swap week and we haven’t slept together, you guys can sleep with her”.’
Jack has previously said that he isn’t ‘sexually’ attracted to his bride Tori, and Lauren brought the remarks to Tori’s attention as she shared her disapproval.
Lauren told Tori: ‘Jack told the boys that we’re not sleeping together because we’re not attracted to each other.’
The shock scenes saw Jack become embroiled in an explosive row with Lauren Dunn (pictured) after she told Jack’s wife Tori Adams about a string of comments he had made
Speaking to camera, she added: ‘She’s rattled, she looked upset. That’s the last thing I wanted to do but Jack needs to be put into the firing line with no wiggle room.’
Watching on, Jack could see Tori was upset and admitted he didn’t ‘trust’ anyone and accused Lauren of ‘looking for drama’, before dramatically confronting her in front of the group.
As Tori looked very uncomfortable, Jack turned on Lauren and asked: ‘I’m asking you, what you’ve said to my wife.’
Lauren quizzed him on his partner swap comment, with Jack arguing that he had only said it as a joke, despite insisting it was ‘inappropriate’ to repeat over dinner.
Jono looked unconvinced as he said: ‘It’s a weird joke to say, I didn’t take it as a joke.’
While Sara argued: ‘The fact that you can’t even say it at the dinner table should be plain and simple that it’s not a joke.’
Upon hearing the comment, Lucinda fumed: ‘That sort of talk is disrespectful and degrading.’
The whole group quickly turned against him and voiced their disapproval over the shocking comment, as jaws dropped around the table.
Trying to defend himself, Jack argued: ‘Anything I would say to Jono, I would say in front of Tori, and she would say equal back.’
Backing Jack up, Tori insisted: ‘If Jack says it was a joke, I’m going to take it as a joke, I trust him.’
‘Jack and I joke about really s***ty things not intended for anyone else,’ she added.
Jack then went on to deny that he had ever said he wasn’t attracted to Tori, despite having previously said he wasn’t ‘sexually attracted’ to her during a workshop.
Speaking to camera, Timothy insisted: ‘I heard that comment, he’s just deflecting and he’s not telling anyone the truth.’
Tori (pictured) was left shaken up after the fierce head-to-head and admitted she didn’t know who to believe, before telling best friend Lauren that she was ‘disappointed’ at the showdown
While Jono told Jack: ‘You said “we don’t have a sexual spark”. You are a sexual man.’
Jack fumed that Jono had ‘broke the bro code’ by telling his wife Lauren what had been said as things got very tense around the table.
As Jack tried to speak to Jono, Lauren argued with him, prompting Jack to shockingly yell: ‘I’m not talking to you Lauren, shut your mouth! Can you muzzle your woman?’
The whole table descended into chaos after the shocking remark as Jono fumed: ‘Don’t f**king talk to her like that!’
Speaking to camera, Tristan said: ‘That’s not cool, my mum would beat me if I ever said that to a woman.’
While Lucinda added: ‘Not funny, not appropriate, not now, not ever, not to no one.’
Lauren was left feeling like she had been a ‘bad friend’, though Sara insisted she wasn’t in the wrong, while she also shared her upset with Jono (pictured) for not backing her up against Jack
Doubling down on his remark, Jack went on: ‘She needs it! She needs it!’
‘I can’t get a word in, because you will not shut your mouth,’ he added.
Lauren fumed: ‘You tell me to put a muzzle on me again, I’ll f**king show you who is going to need a muzzle.’
‘I’ve had enough of you, thank you very much,’ Jack said.
The dinner party further descended into chaos when Tori walked out after the blazing row, with the brides trying to convince her that Jack’s comments about her were ‘disrespectful’.

Coming back at the table, Tori shared her disapproval with best friend Lauren that she had brought it up at the dinner party, insisting she would have text her if she was really concerned.
Tori insisted: ‘Lauren, Lauren, this could be so civil,’ as she argued that Lauren hadn’t understood her dark humour, despite being close friends.
‘It was just like a circus performance. My best friend is fighting my husband. I’m just really over it,’ Tori said to camera.
‘I don’t know what to do, Jack said it was a joke, I don’t know who to believe.’
