 of the AppleTV+ series The Studio in the romantic city and shared the spotlight on Saturday for a photo shoot on board the country's iconic boats. 

It's unclear if the shoot was directly related to The Studio, however The Queen of Pop, 67, was ready for her close-up with a face full of makeup and red lipstick on her plump pout.

Her blonde hair was parted down the middle and styled in face-framing ringlets that fell over her chest.

The stars coordinated in black and white horizontally striped shirts and black coats. 

They also had on blue jeans while flanked by a film crew as they shot on location on the famed Grand Canal.

The 67-year-old music icon and 32-year-old actress sat alongside each other in a gondola while working on season two of the AppleTV+ series The Studio

Garner, 32, wore a wide-brimmed hat with red ribbon and red trim during some moments and placed it on her lap in others.

Meanwhile, Madonna accessorized in fingerless baby blue gloves and had a black handbag on her lap during some shots.

Garner confirmed last September that a Madonna biopic is still happening, following a series of production delays

Garner will soon be playing the Queen of Pop herself in a long-awaited biopic about the star.

In 2023 she worked on a biopic called Who's That Girl, a nod to her 1987 film and song of the same name.

The film was initially developed with Diablo Cody on board as co-writer of the screenplay, which was then-titled Little Sparrow.

However, the hitmaker pivoted her focus to zero in on her international Celebration tour.

In 2024 she penned most of the film with Erin Cressida Wilson, and eyed Garner to portray her. That November she used social media to air out her frustration over road blocks in her pursuit to bring her film to life.

She wrote on Instagram, 'After struggling for days in LA, listening to producers and agents tell me why I couldn’t make my film, I realized that everything in my life is going to be challenged.'

The renowned performer noted she had 'been working on it for 4 years,' with people insisting that she should 'downsize, down scale, think smaller.'

The lengthy caption continued, 'No easy rides for me. I guess I should be grateful.. It forces me to think outside the box. I did not have a normal life. I cannot make this in the normal way.'
