Made in Chelsea Star Faces Setback in US Bid, Criticized for Abandoning Dog: Richard Eden’s Diary

Made in Chelsea Star Faces Setback in US Bid, Criticized for Abandoning Dog: Richard Eden’s Diary

His restless romantic adventures earned him a ‘bad boy’ reputation on Made In Chelsea, but Miles Nazaire’s American dream has, I hear, turned into a nightmare.

Nazaire, 29, who has also appeared on Dancing On Ice, had been lined up to compete in hit show Love Island USA.

So advanced were the plans that he was flown 10,000 miles to Fiji, where the show is filmed.

Sadly, however, he has now returned to west London with his tail between his legs, having failed to be the latest ‘bombshell to enter the villa’.

Made in Chelsea Star Faces Setback in US Bid, Criticized for Abandoning Dog: Richard Eden’s Diary

Made in Chelsea star Miles Nazaire, pictured at Wimbledon last week, has been dropped from the upcoming series of Love Island USA

A source tells me: ‘Producers flew him out to Fiji and he was there for weeks before coming home citing “personal issues”.

‘Britain’s Love Island has an American contestant this series and the plan was for the American season to have a British star, too, but it hasn’t happened.’

It’s the latest setback for half-French Nazaire, whose ‘performing arts’ business, LGI Productions Ltd, owes His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs £47,000 in unpaid VAT – and a further £38,000 in overdue corporation tax.

Earlier this month, I revealed that the company, set up in 2022, also owes accountancy firm Sobell Rhodes £11,000, bringing its total debts to just under £100,000.

Intriguingly, he has just established a new company, Maison Naz Ltd, in the ‘performing arts’ category – just like the old one.

Nazaire is known for his romantic escapades on the London reality television show, which include re-establishing contact with ex-girlfriend Maeva D’Ascanio after she’d married his former best friend, fellow Made In Chelsea alumnus James Taylor.

This week, he was criticised after disclosing that he rehomed his dog, Rocky, because he was too busy to look after him.

Lookalike Gracie puts mum Anna Friel in shade

Marcella star Anna Friel celebrated her daughter Gracie’s 20th birthday this week and is convinced that she will soon outshine her.

Gracie, whose father is David Thewlis, aka werewolf Professor Lupin in five of the Harry Potter films, is pictured towering over her 5ft 4in mother in this photograph shared online.

Gracie is a musician and former Brookside actress Anna, 48, says: ‘We are the luckiest parents, you make us proud everyday [with] your beautiful kind soul, your intelligence, your creativity, your understanding, your amazing, mind-blowing talent, your passion for everything in life.’

Gracie has said: ‘I write a lot of songs with the guitar, and I’m getting better the older I get.’

Sarah Clarke, who retired this week as the first female Black Rod, was an unstoppable sort. The Earl of Kinnoull recalls at Clarke’s first Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle she arrived early with her uniform in a bag. She and three others entered a lift which broke down. While help was summoned, Clarke told her fellow passengers to examine the lift walls while she changed. Firemen were surprised, when they solved the problem, to find an immaculate Black Rod with her dress as an ankle warmer.

Strictly’s Tess Daly in a royal costume drama

She’s not short of glitzy outfits for Strictly Come Dancing, but Tess Daly faces a fashion conundrum over what to wear when she collects her MBE later this year.

The Stockport-born TV presenter, 56, who sported this golden metallic gown at the Baftas, was named in the King’s Birthday Honours list alongside co-host Claudia Winkleman, 53, and says: ‘The actual investiture is imminent, but I don’t know what I’m wearing. I suppose I can do a hat, but do I wear a suit or trousers? Will a high heel or a wedge be better, as I’m thinking, is it a grassy surface at Windsor Castle?’

Author Lady Anne Glenconner, who turns 93 next week, was delighted to meet Chelsea pensioner Peter Fullelove at a Waterstones event to celebrate the paperback release of her memoir Picnic Papers. He attended Queen Elizabeth’s 1953 Coronation, where Lady Anne was one of six maids of honour. ‘I’d heard there were six attractive young ladies going to be there, so I was very keen to go,’ he says, with a twinkle in his eye.

 Bond hopeful Aaron attracts birds

A leading candidate to be the next James Bond, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is credited with ‘bringing back birds’ to his farmhouse in the West Country.

The actor, 35, and his wife, the artist and Fifty Shades Of Grey film director Sam, 58, excavated a large lake in the grounds of their Somerset home, which they bought from Grand Designs presenter Kevin McCloud.

When they submitted plans, they faced complaints from neighbours. However, retrospective permission was granted and a subsequent inspection gave the green light for the pond to continue operating with ‘no issues’ raised. Neighbours have reported increased ‘bird activity’.

Fuming Fiennes’ drop the mic plea to young theatre director

Currently in charge of a season of plays at the Theatre Royal Bath, Ralph Fiennes is angered by the modern-day sight of actors using microphones on stage.

‘This is something I feel there must be a movement against, the reliance on microphones,’ fumes Ralph, currently starring in Sir David Hare’s new play, Grace Pervades.

‘I don’t need a microphone in this theatre…to all those directors who want their actors to wear mic packs, thank you very much.’
