Posing for the shoot, Mabel wowed in a leather olive green power suit and heels while her curls blew in the wind.

In another shot she opted for a relaxed short-sleeved denim jacket and matching shorts as she smiled while donning some stylish shades.

Despite the pressures she has felt to look a certain way, Mabel added that she is reluctant to call out those who contributed to her struggles with self-image.

‘I don’t really want to call out men from the industry that ever made me feel uncomfortable. I don’t wanna have that conversation.

‘Like, what are people gonna say? What if people ask me names? But actually, it’s my story.’

The star, who is the daughter of beloved Swedish-African singer Neneh Cherry and renowned English producer Cameron McVey, is currently preparing to release her third album.

Discussing how her 2017 mainstream success triggered severe insecurities, she admitted: ‘After my first bit of success, I don’t think I was very well mentally.’

The accompanying video was directed by David Wilson and sees Mabel and Shygirl unpick the male gaze, flipping well-known cultural moments dating back to Eve and the forbidden fruit.

The nearly three-minute long music video, sees the brunette beauty seductively moving and looking down the camera lens, while wearing revealing outfits.

The powerful single marks a new era for Mabel which sees her at her most authentic and unapologetic.

Speaking about the  single and video, Mabel shared: ‘This record is about questioning the male gaze and the power of the divine feminine.

‘I’ve often felt judged by my appearance, and I’ve let comments get the better of me. Now, I’m at a stage in my life where I’m celebrating my body without letting it define me.

‘I wanted to let anyone who’s ever underestimated me or judged the book by its cover know that I’m ok with them doing that now because I know who I am.’

She added: ‘Collaborating with Shygirl is something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time as I’m a big fan of her music and everything fell into place with this record. She totally understood everything I wanted it to be and she’s made the song so special. She’s a superstar.’
