Wayne Rooney was nowhere to be seen on Friday night as his delighted sons met Luke Littler following his epic win at the World Darts Championships at London’s Alexandra Palace.

While his wife Coleen, 38, got stuck into the fun and even found herself soaked in beer while cheering on the 17-year-old, newly-jobless Wayne failed to join the family outing.

The former Plymouth Argyle manager, 39, took to his Instagram to share a snap of one of his sons, 11-year-old Klay, meeting the new world champion, writing: ‘What a night for the lads. Congratulations Luke. Unbelievable.’

However, despite sharing his support, Wayne didn’t appear to be at the event in person.

Instead, Coleen and three of their sons attended the match, with the Rooney boys seen getting their replica shirts signed by Luke shortly after his victory which saw him crowned the youngest world champion in the history of the sport.

Littler, who threw 12 maximums, was mesmeric in the way he dismantled three-time former champion Michael van Gerwen, who held the previous record for the youngest world title winner at 24, and sealed an emphatic 7-3 triumph.

Elsewhere, Coleen was pictured looking glam at the event as she joined in with the festivities.

However, her polished appearance didn’t last long as Coleen later accidentally spilled beer on herself as she and her boys gleefully celebrated Luke’s win.

Despite her celebrity status, Coleen got stuck in with the crowd as she and her boys partied at the raucous event, sitting at long tables while they watched the nail-biting final.

The I’m A Celebrity star opted for a chic beige T-shirt with a blue and white striped trim, with the stunner teaming her top with a trendy gold watch and simple gold earrings.

Keen to document her night out, Coleen filmed her companions as they excitedly jumped up and down as Luke was crowned world champion.

But things went slightly pear-shaped as in her excitement, Coleen revealed that she’d accidently spilled beer on herself, with the mum-of-four heard screaming in her Instagram video as the booze splashed onto her.

The WAG’s yell momentarily alarmed her son Kit, eight, as he looked around in surprise at his mother before turning back to the action.

Captioning her post, Coleen penned: ‘Amazing night… kids were buzzing!! Congratulations @lukethenukelittler.’

She then added: ‘That’s me screaming getting beer all over me’, alongside a crying with laughter emoji.

Her post was then re-shared by champion Luke, who is no doubt in a jubilant mood following his sensational victory.

Wayne’s absence comes as it’s reported he will be adopting his new role of house husband this year as his wife Coleen has been inundated with TV offers amid her I’m A Celebrity success.

The former Manchester United player was sacked by Plymouth Argyle after only 25 matches in charge on Tuesday after the club fell to the bottom of the Championship.

Wayne is said to be heading back to Cheshire to join Coleen and their children following the disastrous seven months of management.
