Love Island contestant Patsy Field admits she has ‘cheated’ and ‘broken hearts’ in past relationships and says she is prepared to ‘step on toes’ in the villa.

The office administrator, 29, vowed ‘I’m going to get my man’ and explained her competitive nature will contribute to the way she behaves on the show, and she will be looking after ‘number one.’

She confessed to ‘walking over’ and betraying ex-partners but says she’s never gone as far as to sleep with another man when she’s been committed to someone else.

Speaking to MailOnline, she said: ‘I have cheated, probably quite a few times.

‘But I don’t know, what do you class as cheating? I’ve never had sex with anyone else while I’ve been in a relationship but definitely, you know, some loose lips… a couple of snogs, oops!’

She continued: ‘I’ve had some interesting dating experiences, but all of my ex-boyfriends have been really nice, and I’ve found I’m probably the one who’s broken their hearts… and I couldn’t say more nice things about the guys I’ve actually been in relationships with.

‘The sort of guy I would like to see in the villa, I am a really confident and outgoing person so I definitely really need someone who will match me in that sense because I can find if a guy will let me walk all over him, I will, given the opportunity. I need someone confident and sure about themselves but not too arrogant.’

When it comes to dating on the show, Patsy says she won’t be taking any prisoners.

She added: ‘Yes, I am prepared to step on people’s toes, especially right at the beginning.

‘I will be going in there with a lovely group of girls but girls that I don’t know and it is a dating show and we’re all in there to find someone… I do have a competitive streak and I like to win… I’m gonna get my man.

‘I have girl code with all my friends who I have known a really long time of course but unless I make some really strong connections but for the most part, we have all gone in there by ourselves and we have to think about no1.’

The new Islander has shared details of living with disability Erb’s palsy, which she developed during her traumatic birth at Lewisham hospital.

She has undergone several operations on her arm including muscle transplants and nerve transplants to improve the quality of her movement.

She said: ‘I was a normal baby at birth or should have been, but I had a birth injury or disability.

‘From there I have had a few operations, muscle transplants, nerve transplants to get it to where it is now, which I am happy with and I know for other people with the condition, it is in a good way.

‘It’s something I’ve had for all of my life that I get on with and I don’t know any different, day to day for me it’s quite a small part of who I am.’

She said: ‘I am really looking forward to speaking about it in the villa and hopefully people will be able to watch and understand from my explanation a little more about.

‘I’m really hoping there will be people all over the country who have similar things – and I know people with exactly the same condition, who will see me doing something like this and think ‘wow I would never go for something like that and she’s doing it and she’s so confident and body confident and I can be the same.’
