Love Island contestant Jess White says she would be ‘happy’ returning to her day job of stacking shelves at M&S if she doesn’t find success on the show.
The retail assistant, 25, who has worked in the food hall at Marks & Spencer for the past eight years, told MailOnline her bosses have allowed her to take a ‘career break’ and the door has been left open for her return.
And the Islander says while she loves working for the high street store, she hasn’t packed any M&S clothing for her stint in the villa, confessing she’s more of a ‘PrettyLittleThing’ girl.
She said: ‘I love my job, it wouldn’t be a problem if I only lasted a week and was back in M&S stacking shelves.
‘One of my big bosses guessed what I was doing… I said, that’s not happening but I cannot lie so she absolutely knew what I was doing.

‘I told everyone else I was going travelling, which they thought was a bit weird, but okay.
‘They said to me ‘take a career break’ they were so flexible, they’re so flexible as a company, I thought I’ll leave now and really enjoy myself but the door has been left open, it’s a really nice position to be in.
‘For backstory M&S have a new buyer so it’s literally gone from granny clothing to stuff I would wear. But I haven’t actually bought any clothes from M&S with me… clothing wise, I’m a PLT girl really.’
Jess has been single for two years after coming out of a long-term relationship, where she feel she lost herself as a person.
She decided to focus on her health and fitness after a close friend launched a personal training business and she became her first client.
In the aftermath of her breakup, she lost body confidence, but her new regime enabled her to lose a stone and a half, with Jess saying she now aspires to run marathons.
She said: ‘I was in a long-term relationship, I was with my ex for a long, long time. I broke up with him two years ago.
‘When I broke up with him I wanted to be single and enjoy myself. You know when you have been in a relationship for a long time you forget who you are on your own, especially because I was with him from a young age.

‘Before that, I put on quite a bit of weight, you know when you’re in a relationship and you’re quite happy, eat what you want, you don’t really care but it got to a point where I wasn’t happy.
‘My friend had qualified as a PT, and she suggested I be her first client and we did it together and we started going to the gym and using me as her portfolio and I just realised how much I loved it.
‘I lost about a stone and a half so I was no way over weight but I wasn’t confident in myself and since then I am obsessed going to the gym… I say ‘obsessed’ but I haven’t trained once since I’ve been in Mallorca.
‘But I enjoy it, it’s a bit of me time. I have also started running as well, you know how everyone has become a running girly…’
