Callum Jones has sparked fears he and Jess Gale may split after admitting they’re relationship is still not ‘official’.
The couple finished as runners-up on Love Island All Stars, losing out to Callum’s ex Molly Smith and Tom Clare.
But appearing on Love Island: The Morning After podcast, Callum, 27, told how he and Jess, 24, aren’t boyfriend and girlfriend yet.
Asked by host Indiyah Polack whether he’s made things official, Callum said: ‘No, do you know what, we’re so compatible.’
‘I feel like we’ve got a couple of dates planned on the outside. That hotel in London. She loves surprises. Me not so much…’

Jess added: ‘Callum said it is going to be a surprise… I’m very excited for a surprise!’
Jess recently responded to rumours that Callum was still in love with his ex Molly.
Throughout the ITV series, viewers were rooting for Molly, 29, and Callum, 27, to rekindle their relationship – after they split from their three-year relationship just six months before they made a shock arrival into the villa.
Molly, who won the final with her new flame Tom Clare, 24, was also shocked to hear the public were hoping she and Callum would get back together – after Dani Dyer, Olivia Attwood and Bradley Dack spilt the tea during the series.
Speaking on the situation, Jess said: ‘Obviously when I first heard I was very shocked by it. And I thought was there anything I was overlooking? I didn’t want to be naive.
‘I was scared of being perceived as really bad if Callum and Molly were this ‘love story’ and I was standing in the way.
‘So yeah I was a bit nervous about the whole thing. But Callum was very reassuring and he put it to bed quickly. So it was smooth running after that.’
Callum added: ‘Yeah even after the first week or two we were friends and to be fair I’m glad we kind of got that friendship.

‘I know people maybe have seen past the friendship because they want the fairytale but that sometimes doesn’t happen.
‘Life is too short, it takes more energy to be bad with someone to be negative, than it does to get on with life. Life goes on.’
While Tom and Molly may have won the series, Callum and Jess weren’t far behind in taking the crown.
New voting percentages reveal Callum and Jess closely missed out on the win during the grand finale by two percent.
Molly and Tom took home the £50,000 prize after receiving 35 percent of the public vote, according to The Sun.
Molly’s ex Callum and his partner Jess received just below at 33 percent while Sophie and Josh, who placed third, got 15 percent of viewer votes.
Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran were backed by 10 percent, leaving Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk last place with only seven percent of votes.
