For many Islanders, the real drama only begins once they’ve left the villa behind.
Away from the cameras, friendships fracture, romances sour, and rivalries intensify in the glare of the public spotlight.
Social media spats, podcast takedowns, and icy red-carpet run-ins have kept former contestants in the headlines long after their series has ended.
Some grudges fade quickly, but others escalate into full-blown wars that fans can’t stop talking about.
The fallout often proves more gripping than the summer of love that came before it.
Daily Mail takes a look at some of the most unforgettable Love Island feuds that erupted long after the credits rolled.
Demi Jones dishes dirt on ‘stuck up’ co-stars

Love Island’s biggest feuds and bust-ups outside the villa after Demi Jones, (pictured), called out her ‘stuck up’ co-stars on the Spill With Will podcast last week

The 27-year-old TV personality – who hails from Portsmouth, went on the show to discuss her current life, her previous cancer diagnosis and fake love (pictured on Love Island in 2020)
Demi Jones appeared on the last Spill With Will podcast to chat all things post Love Island after appearing on the show in 2020.
As the duo got into a conversation about the industry and what it’s really like, Demi dished the dirt on previous stars she has met, and exactly what they’re like when the cameras aren’t rolling.
The former style advisor had been to an influencer party the night before, which led her onto discussing events and bumping into Love Island stars old and new.
She said to the host: ‘Obviously you’ll know Will, when you go to events and meet certain Islanders, they’re so stuck up their own a**e.’
In agreement, referencing a viral TikTok sound, he added: ‘But I just also think with some of them as well like, do you know you have 30 minutes? With this attitude you have 30 minutes.’
Demi continued: ‘But babes I’m not going to see you in six months’ time, so let’s just be nice now.’
Will shared how he think some of the cast who have a very short cameo on the reality series ‘have the biggest egos’.
‘It’s so true!’ he said, adding: ‘People that have been on the show for like five minutes will have the biggest egos.’
Demi laughed back: ‘I agree, I agree!’
She then insisted you ‘have to be nice to everyone as you genuinely don’t know who you’re talking to’.
Kady McDermott threatens Mitch Taylor with legal action

Kady McDermott threatened Mitch Taylor with legal action after the two bumped heads after leaving the villa last year

The pair both appeared on last summer’s series of the ITV dating show yet their feud began after the series as Mitch lashed out at Kady and accused her of being fake
Kady McDermott threatened Mitch Taylor with legal action after the two bumped heads after leaving the villa last year.
The former gas engineer previously slammed Kady in response to some of her remarks on various podcasts.
She branded the him as a Love Island ‘superfan’ and claimed he’d applied four times for a place in the villa.
Mitch then fuelled rumours that Kady had a secret boyfriend when she made her return to the show.
Kady took to social media with a lengthy statement, as she addressed the fallout and said she had ‘sought legal advice’ following some of Mitch’s claims.
She wrote: ‘This is the last thing I will be saying on my story about this individual before I start having to invoice him for my time.’
She then explained that her management was set to take legal action against Mitch if he continued to ‘speak publicly about her with false statements about her life prior to the villa’.
At the time, Kady said she accepted an apology from Mitch’s former management and decided to drop the case as she did not want to ‘waste anyone’s time or money’.
Reigniting her feud with her former co-star, Kady went on: ‘Mitch then got dropped by his management a couple of weeks later, then in December 2023, he reached out to my management asking if they would manage him, the AUDACITY.
‘But the funniest thing above all is to be called irrelevant by someone who is actually completely irrelevant – HILARIOUS!
‘For the short time he was/is relevant it was for his foul behaviour towards women which some sadly found ‘entertaining’.
‘Safe flight home Messy Mitch.’
Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe’s ‘heated exchange’

Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe’s ‘heated exchange’ during filming for the reunion show
Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe reportedly got into a ‘very heated exchange’ during filming for the reunion show – which is set to be full of drama.
The reunion, which aired on Sunday night, was pre-recorded on Thursday evening with most of the 2022 cast in attendance.
And one audience member shared her experience on social media, claiming that producers had to ‘step in’ as the Casa Amor bombshells had an explosive row, which fans are convinced is over Josh Le Grove.
The fan wrote on Twitter: ‘Just been at the #LoveIslan reunion episode filming, very heated exchange between coco and summer production had to step in and close it down
‘Summer made a comment about friends not being real friends on the outside, and Coco was trying to defend herself by saying “It was all banter”, kept going back and forth over the boys (Josh & Billy) for a fair few minutes, production obvs had no idea of context from podcast ep.’
The ITV viewers then revealed Coco stormed off, with audience members encouraging her to return: ‘Coco left after that exchange and we had to cheer her to come back in…
‘Luca ran over to Jay, Charlie and antigonis table to get the gossip as the reaction on the sofa was a bit mad.’

The fan explained on Twitter how the evening unfolded, with Coco storming off and audience members encouraging her to return
Things recently turned frosty between the girls as they unfollowed each other after leaving the villa.
Fans believe the former friends are feuding after Coco made it known she had rejected Josh’s sexual advance – while he was thought to be dating Summer.
Coco appeared on the Saving Grace podcast, where she described Josh as ‘so fit’ and implied the pair of them nearly slept together after being dumped from the villa.
She revealed to host Grace Barry that after she and Josh were dumped they were placed in a nearby villa with two chaperones.
Grace immediately cut in to ask: ‘Did you sh*g him?’
Coco replied: ‘No and I’m actually annoyed because I feel like I could have now. Talking to him now after I’m like I feel like it could have happened.
‘He was like ‘Oh I’m horny’ and I was like right I’m gonna take myself to bed. But I don’t know why I did that because sorry he’s so fit’.
She went on: ‘But we are really close now, like we spend like every day, like all day together and I’m like just let me try once. I even say to him: “Just let me try once please Josh!”‘
This surprised fans who were under the impression that Coco was friends with Summer after being in Casa Amor with her.
Maura Higgins and Olivia Attwood ‘copying’ claims

I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’s Maura Higgins has become embroiled in a war of words with Olivia Attwood, who has accused the model of copying her career and telling lies on TV

MailOnline can reveal the former Love Island stars’ feud has been rumbling under the surface for years but Maura’s actions during her stint in the jungle has sparked Olivia to speak out
Maura Higgins became embroiled in a war of words with Olivia Attwood, who has accused the Irish model of copying her career and telling lies on TV.
MailOnline revealed the former Love Island stars’ feud has been rumbling under the surface for a number of years but Maura’s actions during her stint in the Australian jungle sparked Olivia to speak out against her rival, courtesy of some cryptic Instagram posts.
A friend of Olivia’s has told MailOnline exactly why the documentary-maker broke her silence on the rift, which is showing no signs of going away.
Olivia, who’s married to footballer Bradley Dack, believes Maura, is attempting to usurp her as ITV’s Love Island golden girl by using the ‘same script’ that earned her success, including her reasons for entering the ITV2 dating show – ‘revenge on an ex’ – as well as signing with the same PR company.
And Olivia’s friend believes Maura is bending the truth to make her sound more sassy on TV, including telling campmates she scrubbed a toilet with her ex’s toothbrush in revenge for cheating before going on Love Island, a tail she previously attributed to her split from Curtis Pritchard when that relationship had more relevance.
The models share many career parallels having both started off as ‘Monster Energy Girls’ before signing up for Love Island and then I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, but it was Olivia who was first to appear on both shows – although had to leave the jungle early on medical grounds – and now she feels Maura is ‘piggy-backing’ on her success, which she promises to expose in a tell-all book.
Tension between the pair was also evident during a festive event hosted by makeup brand Space NK at Claridge’s days before Maura flew to Australia, with sources saying they barely spoke.
A friend told MailOnline: ‘A lot of people are feeling confused by the story Maura told on Sunday night’s episode of I’m A Celeb and wonder if she’s telling tales for airtime.
‘She explained to her campmates that she signed up to Love Island to get revenge on an ex-boyfriend who was unfaithful and how she used his toothbrush to clean the toilet.
‘But she said the same when she split from Curtis Pritchard, alleging to her followers she used his toothbrush to clean the bog following their 2020 breakup.
‘Olivia was cast on Love Island, seeking revenge on Bradley Dack, which worked out in the best way possible as now they’re happily married.
‘There’s definitely a feeling Maura is attempting to carve out her career using Olivia’s incredible success as a guide.’
Olivia hinted at her annoyance towards Maura on Instagram last year, writing: ‘One day I’m going to write a book and some of the stuff I have managed to keep (zip emoji) on over the years. It will blow your f***ing mind.
‘You can try to hire all the same people, regurgitate my stories as your own, study the playbook, follow the recipe blah blah but it will *never* taste the same. That’s all.’
DailyMail contacted Maura and Olivia’s representatives for comment.

‘She messaged me a big long message and I said, no hun, I’ve got no problem.’
Diamante then rebuffed claims she blocked Ruby or was ‘drunk’.
She ranted: ‘Guys, I don’t drink alcohol at all. Because it messes you up. I’ve literally just had an argument with her in there.
Guys, I can’t get a break, I literally can’t get a break. Never in my life have I sent for someone, I’m always defending myself, I’ve literally come over here for a chilled night.
‘Why are you upset that I blocked you, just leave it, I told you specifically what the issue was that your vibe was off.
‘And then I blocked you. I’m just trying to have a good night. I don’t need all of this. I look too good for this you know!’
Going one step further, Diamante shared the WhatsApp message she had sent to Ruby.
In it, it said she thought Ruby always had a problem with her since the ‘Sean situation’ and she doesn’t want to be a fake friend.During Casa Amor, Sean Stone’s eyes wondered from Matilda Draper as he flirted with Ruby before sharing a kiss with Diamante.

Molly Marsh addressed the ongoing feud rumours between herself and the other Love Island finalists.
The musical theatre performer came fourth place in the 10th series of the ITV2 reality show alongside her then partner Zachariah Noble.
But since leaving the villa, the couple have faced rumours of feuds with their fellow cast members, with rival Kady McDermott making a comment regarding Molly not speaking to the other girls in the villa when they weren’t filming.
‘When I got there I settled and got along, I didn’t have that one friend I just got along. I would take myself off to the pool and try and sunbathe, have a breather. Think about the outside world. If I didn’t do that I would have lost it.’
Host Amanda Nicole Hirsch asked: ‘Would the others ask why don’t you hang out with us more?’
She replied: ‘Yes, but then they got to know that was just me.’
The host then asked: ‘So you’re not bothered that Jess, Ella, Catherine and Whitney are all BFFs and have a group chat without you? You don’t feel left out?’
Molly replied: ‘No. I kind of expected that, I expected that, it is what it is. It’s probably best I’m not there. No, I expected that.
‘I didn’t really open up to them as much as they wanted me to but at the beginning I didn’t want to overshare my feelings, I kept them to myself to make sure I was ok. I didn’t want people to talk about me.’
